Isaac, you know, at some point in life I also felt like I could do nothing with my weight. I'm just 21 and was quitting hope! My mentor encouraged me to run every day. After gaining some enthusiasm I joined the gym, around 45 days ago. Started to eat healthily, and turned on a low-carb diet. I'm down to 67.3 kg now, before the gym I was 72.6 kg. I have been overweight for 7-8 years and accepted it like fate. Sometimes I just sing the song "Prom Queen ", "Shut up, count your calories, I never looked good in mom jeans...", There are so many dresses on my wishlist! I'll wear whatever I want, soon, and this is the best feeling in my 21-year-old life. I have hypothyroidism, acanthosis nigricans, amblyopia, and another reproductive organ illness that can not be cured. I was having complex mental issues. I can't explain how my life changed in these 45 days. not because now I look better than before, but because I caught my life in my hand. I'm glad that I am brave enough to take control of my life. long way to go. Life is a battlefield. I'm happy that I realized it.

First I started with 3 days a week and then eventually I made it 6 days a week. It took about a year of dedication to reach my goal weight of 110kg (I’m 6’4 so that’s a comfortable weight for me). I turned 42 last month and still weigh between 108 and 114 depending on how my diet is from month to month. But I have not only lost 52kg, I have kept it off and changed my habits for 12 years. One episode (guest starring Tom Green) he was assigned to be the assistant of a crazy, glue sniffing, washed up self help guru. The basic plot was he had a book/song in the 70's that just encouraged everyone to do 'whatever makes you happy.' Taking LSD and jumping off a cliff, worshipping satan and using your dog as a dart board etc ensued. That's where we unironically are as a society now.

want to know something also sad. now I'm morbidly obese. I'm working on it as best as i can. I was talking to my neurologist though and I was asking her some questions and anything related to weight she had always been honest and upfront. well at this last appointment it was kinda odd and i think the whole fat activists has made it so they have had to change their wording because they can be and have been sued. SUED for helping people. like wtf. So for someone like me who is trying to get help they have to skirt the issue because of others.

I gave fasting a go and lost 16kg over three months. No exercise's just less eating. Towards the end I was able to go 60 hours without food but it's not something I need to do, it was more of a challenge/curiosity for me. Good luck and I'm sure you'll find something out there to help with your weight.

I've never been what I'd consider fat, just chubby during my late teens, maybe just over 210lbs at 6 ft 2 during my early twenties. I lost nearly 40-50lbs in less than 4 months and have now put most of it back on as muscle; I usually do around 20-30k steps a day and am sometimes in a humid kitchen around 100°F for up to 12 hours at a time. No need for the gym, just the need to want to push myself, consistently. I now have to eat about 3000-3500 calories a day to put any weight on whilst I'm working like this. When I'm not working I also occasionally do the odd fast days but that's just something I've done for the last decade or so. Anything is possible, and you can get wherever you believe you can, you've just got to start with small steps, and do what's right for yourself.

We proved the effect of good -vs- bad diets in 5th grade, with 2 white mice. It was sad, how thin the mouse on the diet of cookies, and similar snacks became in just a couple weeks, while the one eating healthy stuff was in great shape. This was in 1967, mind you. (We fed the bad diet mouse a good diet, after that, so it made a full recovery; that was part of the experiment, too)

Here's the thing, weight is taken into consideration when it comes to prescription medications and anesthesia. If you don't allow yourself to be weighed, a doctor either has to make a guess (and with medical malpractice who wants to take that chance) or deny you the medications and anesthesia and the procedures you were going to have.

Sometimes slow is better than quick (depending on your situation, age, health condition and heaps of factors)! If it feels like an overnight thing and you are quickly loosing the weight that can be unhealthy for a number of reasons. Again, all circumstantial. As long as you are making better choices, you are already doing great! It will happen when it happens and don't feel as if you have to go extreme to drop the numbers on that scary scale :)

2020 I was 123kg. 2022 I was 98kg. Today I'm 115kg. It's not because weight loss doesn't work. It's because I had many shitty situations in my life happen at the same time that brought my depression back and caused me to treat my sad feelings with eating shit. Got into an work accident as well that put me trough an eye surgery and are currently healing from. Can't wait till I am allowed to start going to the gym and try to change my life for better again. I have a lot of motivation now. Why I can't go to the gym atm? Not allowed to pick up more than 3kg at once. Picking weights causes eye pressure to increase and I have to let my eye heal fully so it doesn't cause an infection or other injuries. (Everything according to my doctor)

A doctor's job isn't to make you happy. It's to try and help you live as long as possible, with hopes that resolving your struggles will help you to be happier. This often means having to struggle for a short while to be happier in the long run. They don't suggest chemo because it will be a happy and fun process. They suggest it because it is just about the only way to possibly survive severe cancer, with hopes that you will make it through and be happy after the struggle. I'm baffled that this doctor isn't shut down for "misinformation". She is suggesting that someone can live by eating just sugar every day all day. That is not a doctor.

Eating through the day is a bad cycle to be in... I used to eat through the day when I was obese, hated myself, didnt get anything done and any form of excercise was painful either becuase of joint pains or getting exhausted by the smallest physical activity. I played a lot of video games and wanted to compete in professional Esports. I lost a game, good reason to eat. I won a game, time to celebrate! I did not care what happened to me since I didnt value myself. The difference between the fat doctor and myself is that everything was on me. I had some great friends and found some great KZfaq channels like yours to make myself get better step by step. I am still not healthy weight, but my mindset and physical condition is getting better by the day. I can easily do a 5km run and still get up from bed the next morning. I guess my point is if anyone who is or was in the same place as I was sees this: There is light at the end of the tunnel. It is true that no one can do it but you. It is not everyone elses fault and the world is not against you. Find the right people and media channels to get through whatever you are going through and you will succeed.

The doctors couldn't understand how he is living normally and not in coma because it was so bad. This went on for a couple of years until someone suggested he try plant based diet. He is 6.2 and could never pick up weight. Was around 90 kilos. He only changed his diet to plant based foods, still going to gym and he started feeling stronger, stamina shot up and didnt have abnormal fatigue. 6 months in he gained 10 kilo and after a year he was medically cleared of any diabetes. The doctors saw it as a miracle! His cuts and bruises healed 10 times faster (he is mechanic) and he says he just feels good mentally and physically. Diet is important people! Diet doesnt always mean weight loss, it changes you internally for the better!

The one thing that really annoys me is that hospitals/doctors/ medical professionals aren't meant to make you feel comfortable. They are meant to help you. Like it or not if you're unhealthy, you're unhealthy. It's like a doctor not being able to quarantine someone that has the black death because "that doesn't make them feel good". While yes, that's a major extreme, it follows a similar principle

1. Thanks for making me laugh this morning. I needed it. 2. Kink play. That reminded me of the story a comedian told, about how he got uninvited from his friends wedding, and the story relating to .... suffocation of sorts..... . Just do a video search for "comedian i'll wrestle ya" 3. I got sick/fat from messed up body chemistry (stress) and eating too much. Number one for people, get ANY other job, even cleaning, because the stress will kill you. I stress eat - sweet things. And its entirely stress eating. I had lost some, but recently developed a muffin top. What will I do? Move more. Eat less sugar. If I really can't stop myself then I'll get appetite suppressants again. Running is the best way to get fit, get lean and lose chunk. For those of you reading this (including me) that despise running, just walk. Go for a walk. Or ride a bike. If you like dogs, sign up to that dog walking website and walk people's dogs. If you are super super lazy, ALDI has home fitness gear every now and then, like the pedal machine. I recently did a craft project where I was working on the ground. Just the act of constantly standing up and squatting down for half a day has worked all my leg and glute muscles - and today the muscles are sore. Which has inspired me to move more. It feels great to feel your muscles working! 4. Doctors... oh boy do I have some stories. But this doctor in the video is dangerous. of course a fad diet will only give you a temporary solution. You need to make long term changes. Try raw broccoli instead of a bag of chips. it's actually really tasty.
