There was so much action I couldn`t leave! 11 trains in less than 5 hours!

I had a great day on Friday in Glendale with my buddies Martin, Fred, Greg aka Buckeye Freight Railin` ‪@GY51360‬ and ‪@AdventureswithJoeyBoats‬
To say we got a lot of action would be an understatement. I have 11 trains here for you to see! I won`t try to describe it all here, so if you have a question about anything, leave it in the comments section and I will answer it for you.
I was going to leave to go to my daughter`s house twice, but the clear signals kept going up, so I just kept hanging around! Lol

Sad to see the Union Jack no longer flying! It always looked to me that you secretly wanted us back in charge just so you’d have some sensible people in charge :-) Love you guys and your wonderful locomotives and amazingly long freight trains…and when we’re back in charge it’ll be wagons not cars! The light went green on one before you were gone 2 minutes and they just kept coming after that till about 2:30. I couldn`t believe it either!

All kneel and lay prosrate before his most royal majesty. Most of the CSX power looked pretty spiffy. They must run them through the cleaning rack on a regular basis. Awesome action for sure, thanks Scott!

Yeah, it was a pleasant Friday with all the action on the tracks. I got my fingers crossed in the hope that the new owner doesn't reinvent the wheel with the Cock and Bull and screw it up!

They got bought by new owners. I hope that all that happens is the name changes, but as it is with most new owners, they will try to re-invent the wheel and end up cutting their own throats instead of staying with a proven product. I saw it happen all through my working career.

that NS manifest is the most of those dent side tanker i've seen a drag so far! i've been told they spread im boxes out for better braking and draw bar load but to me they'd get better braking and better bar loading if they took those upper boxes and put them on the empties and spread out the weight on more axles!!

I agree. It seems like it would be easier to straight line the train too around a sharp curve with the lighter cars in the middle of heavier ones. I seem to remember that happening at Horseshoe Curve about 3 or 4 years ago when they put a bunch of empty centerbeam cars at the head end of the train. They got yanked right off the rails going around the curve because they were so light.

And as an after thought, if there are empty wagons on intermodal trains they put loaded wagons on the back to provide weight and stability to stop the light ones corkscrewing and derailing :-)

That was a lot of anhydrous! When I worked at a fertilizer plant our anhydrous was shipped via pipeline from Louisiana and then tricked or shipped rail a short distance to our plant. 😊😊😊❤❤❤

The Connersville was decent sized for being a local. Tell your daughter it's my fault you were late, that I would be upset if you didn't stay long enough to catch some green containers for me! 😂😂 LOL. Thanks for letting me know the build date on those new tank cars. I watch these vids on a 27" HD monitor and I often pause it to read the specs on particular cars but the build dates are hard to read. And probably not legible on some of those old gondolas hauling scrap, but I was wondering how old they are. Amazing the beating they take being loaded. Thanks for another great vid, Gambit.
