'There will never be another': Traffic Jam Jimmy remembered as a symbol of Baltimore

From the City to the Counties, Marylanders are mourning the loss of James “Traffic Jam Jimmy” Uhrin.
James Uhrin was a beloved member of the FOX45 morning news team with an iconic Baltimore twang in his voice.
Jimmy died suddenly over the weekend. He was 65 years old.
“You could sum up being a Baltimoreon with him,” said a fan outside of Camden Yards on Monday.
Even if they never met Jimmy in person, viewers often say they feel like they knew him personally.
“He probably was one of the most friendly and pleasant human beings you’d ever want to meet and I’d never met him,” said viewer Tyree Crawford.
Some say they remember Jimmy from his days as ‘Mondy’ on Captain Chesapeake - while others have enjoyed his time on FOX45 Morning News for more than a decade.
“When it comes to news, news can be so down -- it really can be -- but Jimmy, he always had a smile on his face,” said a viewer from Annapolis.

It was a total shock to hear of the passing of "Traffic Jam Jimmy" on Saturday. Even though I never had the pleasure of meeting him, he did call my name when I tried out for "Wheel of Fortune" in 2015 and again in 2019. My condolences go out to his family, friends and colleagues at this most difficult time. R.I.P. Jimmy Baltimore will never quite be the same without you.

T.J.J. we've never met, but I feel like we have. You've been in my home since Mondy.My mornings are not the same. Sending big hugs to everyone you touch. Thank your Parents for an Amazing man and thank your wife and kids for sharing you with Baltimore. Appreciate you T.J.J. out loud.

i remember capt. chesapeak and all the characters on the show especially cookie monster. I will pray for those that are left during this time,and that is his family and close friends,but that of course includes the entire state of maryland ,all of Baltimore city and all of the nations capital Washington D.C. God speed and R.I.P. your old soulder I salute you.
