I wholeheartedly agree with Adrienne on the second topic. Not flushing the toilet, or leaving the seat dirty in a public washroom should be a crime!!! I don't understand who in their right minds leaves the toilet in such a state and walks out knowing other people have to use it. Gross nonsense!!! 😖

Adrienne is so smart." Bringing awareness saves lives." She made Garcelle feel accounted for here. She maybe hadn't contributed or felt that she had in a hands on way as a doctor etc... but a year later she felt she had a place there and Ade confirmed that she has been just as contributory. This is what confidence, growth, loving yourself looks like when u discover you're important too.

Wow - galas, industry events - something about those… I recently attended my first networking all-women event and felt so out of place, all my insecurities came to the surface all at once. I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one who feels this way about events like this!!
@Amaryllis-4U
@Amaryllis-4U 2 жыл бұрын
They say the definition of class is putting others at ease. The woman who asked Garcelle what does she do could have had a few follow up questions. She could have asked how long have you been an actress? Do you do tv or movies? What has been your favorite role thus far? What would be a dream role for you to play? What actor or actress would you like to work with and why? etc.

The event wasn't about Garcelle. 🙄
@Amaryllis-4U
@Amaryllis-4U 2 жыл бұрын
@@osimeon00 this wasn’t an interview question. It sounded like a fellow attendee attempting to make conversation with Garcelle but losing interest upon hearing that she wasn’t a doctor or a scientist, etc. Thus making Garcelle feel more out of place. I still feel the classy and gracious thing to do would be to ask one or two follow up questions (I listed several just as examples for those who would claim they didn’t know how to follow up) to make her feel included in the conversation. Mind you not because she is in the entertainment business, but because as she herself put it she obviously felt out of place. Im not saying that they must do so, but the kind and classy thing to do is to attempt to put the other person at ease.
@osimeon00
@osimeon00 2 жыл бұрын
@@Amaryllis-4U You are overanalyzing and scrutinizing this situation to ridiculous heights. It's not that serious and you weren't even there to get the correct context of the conversation.
@Amaryllis-4U
@Amaryllis-4U 2 жыл бұрын
@@osimeon00I’m not saying the person should have been more attentive because it happened to be Garcelle. It’s like being in the cafeteria and everyone is talking and laughing at the table except for the new girl in the corner who doesn’t know anybody. The kind thing to do would be to strike up a conversation and try to make her feel included. No one is saying you must do it. It would just be the kind thing to do. I guess my POV comes from having been an elementary teacher for so many years and watching the children engage and trying to facilitate inclusivity and kindness. But I do understand we can agree to disagree🙂

I don't think they were being holier than thou. By the way Adrienne described it, sounds like they were all sharing life stories. And she said they all laughed and were nice - if they were being 'holier than thou' it would've probably been awkward and they wouldn't have been pleasant to her

@@stellac.e2086 the 'together since they were 4' thing was a joke. And she said that they were sharing their stories and experiences. You can bring food and eat in the library. The library is now not just a place for reading but the library is offering large gatherings for teens to do activities such as nerf gun shooting. Sometimes the toilet situation is not completely the person's fault. What's really terrible if it's an automatic flush toilet and it doesn't flush. One time I tried to sit and get back up 4 times and it still didn't work and no it did not have a button to push either. What's worse it was that time of the month. I think I finally got it to work after a couple more get down and ups. Also fix the doors in the restrooms too, I'm sick of holding the doors closed while I'm trying to pee because the lock doesn't work.

@@osimeon00I think it depends on their age. I've noticed on these KZfaq platforms that young people don't seem to mind admitting it. However, during the late 1960's and the 1970's, there was a large counterculture movement which was a social movement throughout the United States. The counterculture challenged traditional roles of behavior related to race, religion, sexuality, gender roles and interpersonal relationships. There was a "free love" attitude about sex back then. There was an "anything goes" and "love the one you're with" environment. People were laughed at for admitting that they were a virgin. In some cases, there were people that admitted that and there were forces out there that insured they wouldn't be much longer.

Fish out of water Growing up and living most of my life in segregated Wisconsin, I have been at countless events and situations where I was the only Black person. I rarely (can't think of one example) felt like a fish out of water. Because I love meeting people and am comfortable talking to strangers. I have a theory about shy people being conceited. At their core, IMO it comes from them being nervous about how others will perceive them. I am the opposite. I can walk into any room and my thought is immediately not on what others think of me, but on what I think of them.😉 Adrienne I feel you sista!🤣😂😁 I always say if men really knew how nasty womens restrooms are....they can be gross in ways that are nauseating. Especially when talking about the "little metal box" at the side of the toilet....🤮🤮🤮

Your fairy tales are so narcissistic at times. They're entertaining, though, I'll give you that. I always make sure to check to see "Hmm.. What's Belinda Joy gonna lie about on this video? 😁" I'm definitely a fan of your fiction.

@@osimeon00 Really, I stay lying? My family, friends, jobs, men, dates, opinions on topics, food, drinks, travel....the mere fact that people like you perceive my comments as lies confirms you don't know me. Of THAT I'm positive.😀 You my dear are a troll. Named as such because like a troll that lives under a bridge and only peeks your head out to cause havoc. Online you hide behind fake usernames and graphics. Never your real image because you're too afraid to be real. So you scour the comment sections on social media looking for those you envy and are jealous of because they are real. Real photos. Real names. Real lives. While you are....fake. I won't say I pity you but I will say this. I pray that you work on yourself. Take care of your skin and hair. Lose weight if you have to, to feel better about yourself. Find a better job or get one, that pays well so you can move to a better place. Then you too will one day have true self confidence to show yourself online. And join in on conversations about yourself instead of seeking out others that trigger you. Because now you, and people like you are just sad and pathetic. Living and acting in a negative way. Because it is a reflection of your life. By tearing others down, it makes you feel good. What an empty dark life you lead. Choose to be positive and see how your life will change for the better.🙏🏾

Damn I'm going to miss this show. I for real have not found a show that I enjoyed so much, learned SO much from, and grew as a human being and as a woman. These ladies are talented beautiful, insightful, thoughtful, inspiring and hilarious. I love them as an ensemble and the only regret I have about this show is that Garcelle was not there from the beginning 😊
