If God bless you with money (TAKE IT) if he bless you with love (TAKE IT) whichever way you end up, turn it up. At the end of the day #Money needs love to spend it wisely & #Love needs money to complete the circle... Periodtt 👌.

YOU may get a better answer from women that married a man that is wealthy and yet that man cheats and shows that wife no love. THEY can tell you if they would rather be loved by their husband or just enjoy the luxury life and having a side dude to make up for what they really want.

I wouldn’t tell my daughter to marry rich but I would tell her to know her worth. To marry someone who is passionate, who works hard and who puts his family first. Marry someone who adores you. I would tell my daughter to not forget about herself within her role as a mother and a wife. Invest and have your own bank card. Don’t feel like you are trapped in a situation.
@midnightmave
@midnightmave 3 жыл бұрын
Yes! People should marry well, not marry rich. Find someone you love, who is stable emotionally, financially, spiritually, etc. Someone who makes you happy but also works with you through problems and challenges you to be the best version of yourself.

My parents, especially my dad, has drilled into mine and my sisters heads that we do not need to be in a position where we are solely depending on a man's finances. Even if we aren't working but are married we need to have some of our own money beforehand to fall back on if need be so we aren't trapped in a bad relationship because we think we can't afford to leave.
@TheSunshinefee

education is more important than being married. not every man is good to his wife, not every man makes enough money to support you, a man could fall ill, disabled and how are you going to live? always be able to support yourself

@indigo_blue_s2830
@indigo_blue_s2830 3 жыл бұрын
Yeah that's true. I used to think those were double standards, but now I see it's just that society still thinks men are the ones at fault for a divorce (because they cheat more often), and also because they actually don't take care of children as much as women do, so now women have to work and still take care of the family, they're usually the primary emotional custodian, so in that sense it doesn't seem fair to pay up half.

True, there are inequalities in this world. However, you can't make that an excuse all the time. You can't use race and color at every turn. It's all what you want to do in life and how you present yourself. Because you come from a poor or impoverished life doesn't mean you can't be successful. Yeah, you might have to work harder but it can be accomplished. There are grants for tuition and books out there that you don't have to pay back but there are rules to abide once you receive it. Those ones who are rich, either worked hard, their family worked hard and had it to pass it down to their family or you have some really intelligent people out there who were able to use it for profit. I'm a minority, a black woman but I don't use it as an excuse.

I agree! It sounds good to say these things don’t matter but they do when bills are piling up and you’re barely making ends meet. My mother taught me to get an education and make my own money just in case the rich man drags me out of the house like in that Tyler Perry movie. I hate what the women’s movement has turned into sometimes. It’s not about being the provider or being the “man” it’s about women having options. Yes Loni, in the 1950’s some or most women had to marry for security. They weren’t marrying for the amount necessarily but for a way to live. Nowadays we can do for ourselves and also can choose to have a partner within a certain tax bracket. If that’s your preference there is nothing wrong with that. And just because “well-financed” is on your list does not mean you will put up with someone you do not love. Money is something but not everything. Find someone who checks off all your boxes and never settle.

It's not everything in a relationship but it's very important. A woman should be independent and not rely on a man. However, it's very important to find a partner whose financially smart. It makes the union stronger. Both are working to move forward. A man should look for a financially smart woman too. Nobody wants to work hard to see partner spend their money and hard work. One person can be financially secure and if the other isn't, it can bring down the other. Also, remember debt is shared in a marriage. Love can be expensive.

I thought it was Wizards of Waverly Place that made Selena Gomez famous but I feel like when she dated Justin Bieber that's what boosted her career the most. At that time only fans of Disney knew of her but when she dated JB she was all over the news.

Selena didn’t have a movie that launch her career though, so I’m wondering what movie it was...maybe Camp rock because that role was offered to Selena but then given to Demi? It was a singing role too.

Adrienne and Jeannie on the button in terms of financial freedom. Good for loni she was taught well... I understand where Garcelle is coming from as well ...maybe the parents didn't have much... therefore they just wish for their daughter to have a better life financially... but it doesn't mean you should marry for money is what the bottom line is...
