INFO ON EGOSOFT: THE CREATORS OF THE X GAMES SERIES AND THE LORE BEHIND THEM.
Egosoft GmbH (formerly Ego Software) is a German video game developer based in Würselen, Germany. The company was founded by Bernd Lehahn in Herzogenrath in June 1988 as Ego Software, and incorporated as Egosoft GbR in 1990, though still trading as Ego Software until 1998. In 2006, the company re-incoprorated as Egosoft GmbH.
Egosoft is best known for its X series of video games, a series of space simulator games noted for combining open-ended gameplay, dynamic market-driven economy and compelling storyline. The series began in 1999 with X: Beyond the Frontier. Since then, the series has expanded with three sequels and three standalone expansions; the latest being X4: Foundations, released November 30, 2018.

In X-4, although you have to hack data-points, you can slowly build up a timeline as part of the in-game encyclopedia.

It's true. Best game mechanic for lore in a game imo. Might get a new module, discount, subscription OR lore-bit. Very cool.

Woo a new lore video! Again thank you folks for doing these. The Terrans are an... interesting case to say the very least. Develop amazing tech, lose control of most of it, have to shoot the shit out of its spawn and wig out over it's decision to go grey-goo on earth itself before being dragged off into much more populated space. Aldrin itself is such a weird system as it never went rogue.

Twinkky - Your welcome and glad you enjoyed. Its very interesting learning the background of earth and how they failed in their efforts with technology. But on the other hand they did not fail completely, they just dive in too quick without proper planning and without contingency plans in place if ever something went wrong

Noodle - Since Twinkky has started making these lore videos, i've been keeping an eye out for things that might have anything to do with the ancients etc.. kind of like Easter eggs of sorts. like the UFO you can come across in X3.

I’ve never learned much about the X universe. I always loved the games for the scale. Admittedly the lores pretty interesting, wish I got into it sooner.

X is hard to get into but well worth it if you like space. X4 is fantastic and ever improving. Great video again- I think I’ll be playing it when I get off work.

Were there Japanese banks crash in our world too? When I search in internet, there was a banking crisis in 2007, but in my source America is mostly mentioned

I love how this universe uses Japanese as language of science. I wonder how computers would have worked if the primary language were Japanese. Also explains why Argon ships and stations have so many japanese symbols on them.

It's Ashizawa not Ashizava. That was a typo on the old Argonopedia. The Japanese do not have a "V" sound in their language, while Ashizawa is a common surname (family name).

See this is why you shouldn't just read word for what what other people write on a fan wiki. "Economical crisis" is grammatically sloppy and makes you sound weird. It's "economic crisis." Don't just thoughtlessly read back what other people write. Especially when it's Europeans typing in extremely broken English.
