In this video titled EU4 Releasables - The WEAKEST Ottoman Vassal Is Actually The STRONGEST I do a playthrough as Mentese after releasing it from The Ottomans and I try to become a great power in Europa Universalis 4 1.37 Winds of Change. This is the series titled Releasables where I attempt to play every releasable nation in EU4 or Europa Universalis 4. In this video I play as the nation of Mentese in EU4. Hope Scotland still exists and France won't support them, then go colonial. If colonialism spawning is the target for success, you might as well embrace it for once.

The Northumberland got it's own unique events after breaking free from England. The Student made a video about it. One of those events gives you Personal Union CB on Norway. And that's what I think you should do, reclaim the viking heritage.

Northumberland also has some other easter eggs associated with its government. As a Theocracy with the Monastic Order reform, by default, their government will be known as the "Hadrian's Knights" and whose ruler will be known as a "Lord Ranger" or "Lady Ranger" at Duchy rank. Going up to a Kingdom or an Empire rank, they become "Hadrian's Watch" led by a "Lord Commander" or "Lady Commander". If they additionally have the "A Dynastic Theocracy" Tier 10 reform as a Kingdom or an Empire, they go full Game of Thrones and become "The Long Knight", led by the "Knight's King" or "Knight's Queen". Technically, the same is true for any country with its capital in the areas of Yorkshire or Northern England, but the tag of Northumberland does not have this restriction and can have its capital over in Alaska while still calling itself The Empire of The Long Knight under Knight's King Jon Snow.

Brittany is a nation I've always had trouble with but love trying to get a good game going. Just tend to have bad rng and I'm not the best at the game

I'm very happy with your share m8. My surname is Menteşe and we are living in that area. Most importantly we are the last remainings from the Menteşe Dynasty. Not so many know about us... We were one of the first Turkish Pirates back then. Allways targetted the islands. You should create a strong navy and focused on the mediterranean instead👍

Northumberland was beaten hard by the Vikings. As Northumberland, you should get revenge on the Norse by conquering all of Scandinavia. Edit: I know it's not A-Z but I still want to see it.

12:00 I always use the coalition map mode to see the truces. If you hover over the countries with green stripes, it shows you when the truce expires

Sick seeing Armenia pop out of QQ. I've just played an Armenia game. Their new mission tree is sick, dev from culture shifting, permanent discipline. Just PUd a massive colonial Russia. Karabakh/Arm is such a difficult start and historically this period from pretty much 1071-1921 is the nadir of Armenian history. Armenia deserves some love.

I feel like being able to pounce on the Ottomans early while they were still at war with Byz (and therefore before they had Constantinople) was so big. They never got to power up, and I don't feel bad for them at all.

To be fair, i don't know what happened but lately i saw that ottoman armies are kinda easy to defeat. Especially when they unlock artillery, they tend to go so heavily into artillery that infantry doesn't fill the front line with stacks of like 10×2×30

13:12 I've had this in one of my games too. 2PM Gorkha in Tibetan exile got full sieged by Guge seperatists, and... nothing happened, rebels and occupation just disappeared...?? How come? I swear countries used to pop out even if an OPM got collapsed by separatists.
