Dynasty Trades In 5 is a dynasty trade show that focuses on dynasty fantasy football trade strategy, rookie draft pick values, individual player profiles, etc. For each player we discuss whether or not they are a dynasty trade target for 2022 and 2023, and if we lean sell vs. buy. We also get in depth on the 2022 rookie draft class, the 2023 rookie draft class, and dynasty rookie pick values in general. We don't do dynasty mock drafts yet, but perhaps we will in the future! There are many great resources available to the community, whether it be articles, dynasty trade calculators, trade finders, etc. We try to focus on short form content that is digestible and relevant. Draft starts tomorrow and I have 1.12. Worthy or BTJ will likely fall. Thanks guys, now I'm seriously looking at Penix 🤣. I had the nuggets to cash out my 1.11 from last year though (Flowers). Flowers + Pitts and got back Purdy + Kelce.

Your take on Achene and Wright is debatable. I see Wright as the next Mostert not the next Achene who will disappoint in ‘24. He had more games lost to injury than big production games last year. His average per attempt is grossly overrated due to 4 games only. Take those away and he averaged less than 50 per game.

In 5 leagues, 3 shares of Bucky Irving, 2 shares of brooks, 2 shares of lloyd, and 2 shares of Ray Davis. 1 league alone I took Brooks, Irving, Estime, Vidal, and Laube (later 3 in 4th round).

Great work Shane and Scott! I've done a better job of spreading my picks out this year versus previous years where I would just have multiple shares of a few guys. Just trying to diversify more, since I missed out on some good players last year

All the little guys who were good got hurt. Achene, Downs and Tank Dell had size and injury concerns. Get out of the little guys while you can. BTW, during my draft I traded the 1.09 for the 2.1 and 2.7, where I picked up Brooks and Ricky. I then picked up Llyodd at 2.9 . Teams need RB and a lot of the goods ones are ageing out.

The difference between Shipley and Lloyd is that Jacobs is more of a 1 year deal if things are mid vs Saquan is definitely there multiple years even if hes not great. Additionally, people in fantasy believe a ton in Saquan vs they kind of want to hate Jacobs. That said, i got Lloyd in the late 3rd and would rather have him at that price. Either could get lucky opportunity wise but it feels there are legitimate reasons people are leaning one way vs the other.

I like Penix a good bit over Nix but both of them are flawed and both of them could end doing well considering their circumstances

I think y'all are comparing this class too much to past classes where the rookie WRs aren't the same talent level as this class. Ladd/Worthy/Keon in 2023 would be right up there or past JSN and they all received much better landing spots. You have to look at each class separately from each other and buy into projected production and how that will translate in dynasty value. Take Ladd for example, he's about to be leading his team as the new WR1 with one of the best QBs in the league. The likelihood that he sees enough production and volume to make him worth the draft pick is much much higher than almost any other player you'd get at the end of the 1st in previous years and it's not close... and we are hesitant because we're comparing him to players that were in significantly worse situations from precious years? Makes no sense.

Drafted Will Ships yesterday late 4th 10T. Seems like a lot of hate for a guy who should be a top end handcuff. Already been offered my own 3rd 2025 for him. Why do I feel like if Saquon gets hurt I can get a 2nd.

I think the WR convo is interesting and I think the answer is buy veteran elite WRs that dropped in value due to age. Think Davante Adams Deebo types most of these guys are worth the 1.12 2.01. We know next year has a weak perceived WR class so would it shock anyone if a couple 30 year old elite guys got a 2 year deal and could be WR1s this year is two years of top 24 production not worth more than ladd or Keon?
