IF the XT-50 has the newer battery I think it would give a great option for those who are on the x100VI list a great / better option. As well as being a great second camera for the xt5 line. As well as those who are wanting to save just a bit of money vs the xt-5. I do agree that Fuji should spend a bit on upgrading / updating the lens options. A new 18mm f2 with faster smoother focusing would be amazing as well as a new take on a 27 but instead of 2.8 make it a f2 with faster smother focusing would be a One Two Knockout combo with any XT camera.

I'm most interested in the 16-50mm f/2.8-4.8, but I'll have to see how it compares to Sigma's 18-50mm f/2.8. 🙃 I'm hoping the Fuji has better optics and macro capabilities.

the x-t50 won't have the 2 way tilting screen (only one way), no weather sealing, no 3.7 mio pixel viewfinder (only 2.x) only one SD card slot, less buffer, less video specs. so i think there is enough reason left for the x-t5

If the XT50 was to have a grip like the XS20 it would be an immediate buy for me. The XH and XS grip is very comfortable. Ive had 2 XT series and i hated the grip.

the xt50 will most likely be crippled by a uhs-1 slot, small buffer and the np-126s battery like the x100vi. but it will still be the best value camera in the lineup

As a traveler and former X-T20 user, I got enticed to the X-T5 for the 40Mp sensor and the longer battery life. I shoot air shows, aerial photography, and getting into wildlife so the ability to crop is great. I hated the battery life on the X-T20. Put those things into the X-T50 and I’d buy.

Excited about XT50 announcement. I preordered the X100VI on the 1st day. I may have to wait a year or two to receive it. I plan on preordering the XT50 sooner after the announcement. The VI preorder is being canceled. Goodbye VI. Fuji has a history of producing a XTx and later a XTxx that is ~75% of the XTx. Fuji didn’t do this for the XT4. The xx is usually smaller, lighter, and cheaper than the X model. Panasonic does this with their G and GX models. Good idea about the battery. The 126 is too small. As a result, when I leave the house with a Fuji camera I need to take one or two spears with me. Please give us the larger battery. Mirrorless cameras suck the energy from the battery very quickly. I have no interest in the GFX line of cameras. I am an amateur with no plans to print huge. APSC is good enough for me. I value small and lightweight gear. Mask On Nurse Marty (Ret)

Panasonic is also rumored to release a completely different line of camera bodies. I'm on the minority where I didn't care too much about the Fuji X100VI, but I am definitely interested in the XT-50 if that's a thing or a Lumix X100VI competitor.
