Yes the cetaphil is good i used that in my highschool days. It works like holy grail. I don't like any lotion of cetaphil tho. It is good for close pores. It really moisturize and soften your skin, but it made my skin to develop whiteheads and blackheads. So i don't use their lotion.

not only can these products makes your acne worse, but they can also cure it for a short amount of time, make you dependent on them for "clear skin", then wreck your skin by giving you problems besides acne. good job on this video! a lot of people don't know this.

Benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid are both ingredients that are found in so many products that are meant for fighting acne. Benzoyl peroxide is especially known for this and once I found this out I did a little bit more research and it said that anything above 2.5% doesn't help anymore if anything it just irritates so I just bought a 2.5% benzoyl peroxide gel and then salicylic acid is known for exfoliating and really getting into your pores, making them smaller, cleaning them out and helping with acne scars so I just bought a 2% chemical exfoliants salicylic acid and I use them both every day and my acne has cleared up immensely. No joke, do you're research and you will see what I saw. It's been about a year and I am so happy with my skin. The first time I used salicylic acid the next day I was pulling off a thin layer of dead skin and the benzoyl peroxide was already showing me results. Most of my acne was gone within the month but the blackheads and little bump acnes took a little bit longer.

African black soap -- like the raw stuff from Ghana is natural, organic & works. Just a tip to anyone struggling with acne and not wanting to hurt themselves/give themselves cancer. It can be drying depending on your skin type, but it's amazing. I use rosehip oil as an occasional moisturizer. Hope this helps someone💕

The ph of African black soap is super high so if anyone is going to use this they need to make sure that the toner they use will bring their skin back to it's correct ph or else you can seriously damage your moisture barrier over time. Not saying don't use it, just be smart about it.

@JDlovescats979

Mia Lutrell Any toner that says that it is ph balancing should work well. There are others that do that plus offer other benefits (hydrating, reduce redness etc.). Just do your research to make sure that it will work for your skin and you should be fine. I would however hesitate on a drying toner until after you know how your skin reacts with black soap (some people find that it can dry out there otherwise oily skin so they need to compensate with a more hydrating toner).

Also learn about the common ingredients. Cetaryl alcohol in cetaphil is a moisturising ingredient and is found in many moisturisers, and is very Non pore clogging. Same for the dimethicone in the other product u shown. It's a silicone that sits on top of ur skin to trap moisturise. It is also unlikely to cause acne. Both are very good for acne prone skin types because of its low chance of pore clogging and low chance of causing sensitivity. Cosdna is a good baseline to compare ur products but a lot of their ratings are based on rabbit ear tests using pure concentrations of the ingredient so it is not always reliable. Remmeber ur YMMV

My skin is clear and I know it's disgusting but I barely wash my face, now that I remember when I washed my face I would break out. I use natural products and it helps so much the only skin problem I have is an oily nose thanks to glasses and discolouration on my forehead due to horomones. I use aloe Vera, Rose water, and honey on my skin 💕

Minty Candy Arts this is me too, I only wash my face when I take a shower. Honestly your skin needs its natural oils to naturally secrete out its waste. All acne products do it dry out your skin so that bacteria, dead skin and white blood cells, get stuck deep within the skin and cause big pimples full of bacteria, that when squeezed, cannot escape the pores. When the bacteria gets into your skin, your body tries to send white blood cells to kill the bacteria, but in doing so, it creates more puss and more pimples. I don't understand how nuetrogina or clearasil have been getting away with this scam for so long.

A lot of those brands like clean and clear and neutrogena made my acne worse as they were way to harsh for my skin and just completely dried it out. But cetaphil cleanser and moisturizer actually made my skin soo much better. And so many other people have said the same. So sometimes you just have to see what works for you.

I spent so many years using Cetaphil with no improvement in my acne I didn't think it was causing my acne because of its good reviews then one day after washing my face I decided to wipe with face wipe and realized that all along it was not cleansing my face hence the breakouts. I immediately stop using it and I'm glad I did. Thanks for sharing atleast I'm not alone.

That site literally changed my life. I've been using it for years now and my skin has gotten so much better. I even made my dermatologist aware of this site to let his patients know. Now whenever I want to try a new product I always use this site to analyze the product for me so if it's going to break me out I will know ahead of time and skip out on buying it. It's literally saved my life and I know that sounds dramatic but acne sucks but what sucks even more is blowing away your money on products that only make your acne worse.

I tried Neutrogena but every after a week, I get another breakouts on my cheeks. that's why I STOP using it. I'm now using Cetaphil and really works on my skin condition, and I also use it as my facial scrub just adding a green tea leaves from the tea bag after drinking my cup of tea... Apple Cider is really helpful for drying up my pimples so fast!!(yeah the smell...xD ik..ik...but hey I survive and got a wonderful result.) I've been using it in about a year from now, because it's what I use to wash my face in morning and night (of course it's diluted xD) For toner i use Dickenson Witch Hazel♥. I finally found the best that works for me after the long years of searching! (just sharing my experience s) we're all different. Not because it works for some people, it means it'll work for u too. Go and search what's the best solution for U. Best of luck! ;)

Hi Zaira Arshad , sorry I just saw your comment! I hope this will help you, if you’re still struggling to find a solution in your problem ... Well, I used to make a solution adding 3-4 tablespoon of Apple cider vinegar in bottled water and use this for rinsing my face after I used my cleanser then rinse it with COLD water! (sometimes I’m just eyeballing the solution and just making sure my whole face is not going to burn) morning and night, this was my routine. After you’re done cleaning your face, try putting a needle drop of apple cider in your pimples(ONLY when you see the white puss, cuz if the pimple is not ready , you will damage your skin leaving a black big scar on your face) I use q-tips to apply the apple cider directly to my pimples(not diluted this time). DONT put a lot, to see the result faster! It’s not okay to do that cuz it leaves scarring in the next day or so . I recommend you doing this at night before you go to bed. It tingles and sometimes you can feel it burning, but after you wake up in the morning, it’s pretty much dry. Don’t try to remove the scab after the day you applied it ! Leave it! And do it again the second day until it come out by itself :) I used to have horrible acne around my cheeks and forehead, but after a few months of doing this process. My face is all clear! Again, I hope this helps and I wish you get the result that you wanted❤️ -it’s good to use less product in your face and stick with a routine, rather than changing your products every week or every month. Now, if you want to know what routine I have after clearing up my face, I’m currently using a raw African Black Soap to clean my face every morning to clear up my little dark spots,and use Witch Hazel after to rehydrate my face, then I spray some rose water(let it dry), then at last I put serum(I use my fingers to damp it dry(Pat,Pat,Pat it on your face😅👌like slapping it?..you know?) I don’t apply my serum in circular motion to spread it around my face. I don’t know why, but it gives me better result in the way I do it! And because I love my rose water spray so much, I spray one last time at the end of my skin care routine. (I don’t use moisturizer, I just don’t think I need it🤔...) and sometimes, something makes me feel like moisturizers are culprits of my acne, so I’m kinda scared to use one. My daily routine works after all, and it leaves my face hydrated all night long, so why do I still need moisturizer?😂

This is such an informational video!! Thank you! One thing I wanted to said though, was that I find Neutrogena products to work so good on my skin, and they have never given me a breakout on account of all of the products I've tried. But cetaphil on the other hand, is absolutely terrible. It made my acne at least 10x worse than it was. I switched back to Neutrogena right away and it cleared most of it up!!

When I was a teenager I used acne products. I don’t think I really needed it but my sister used it so I started to. I noticed as soon as I stopped using the products I would break out soooo badly. My skin was dependent on that stuff. Anyways i stopped using acne products. I use natural stuff too and I’ve learned that oil in products doesn’t break me out, lol I never break it anymore.
