Taylor at the very end... "And if you came here to talk SHIT to me....well, I guess you came to the right place." 😂😂

Taylor is 100% right that the step-ups are not cyclical. It's the same as...let's say...1,000 burpees or push-ups or air squats etc.. It's an exercise done 1,000 times. When it's cyclical, you really don't quantify it by "reps." It's always distance or time or calories etc.. At least that's my understanding.

I like that explanation

I would like to see a swimming sprint event. They are always for distance, why not 400m for time?

Taylor has a much better argument about the cyclical nature of step ups. Climbing up stairs is much different than box step ups.
@shannonschleifer8602Ай бұрын
Because stairs you keep going in the same direction. Step ups are a change of direction. But I’m not sure momentum is the defining characteristic.
@diegomoya9695Ай бұрын
a change on direction implies a change on momentum

23:28 It's weightlifting more than anything. You have a load on and you're lifting yourself with it.

Friday in 2016 was Murph, Squat Clean Pyramid (version of the regionals snatch workout) and Double DT. Could Saturday be Chad, Squat Clean Pyramid and a DT variation? since the snatch pyramid was repeated this year

3:51 The lack of DEI is concerning.

Who’s to say it’s not a swim run swim or run swim run. Could be a twist.

Step up to a target. Athletes must touch a target, that is set to their reach at full hip extension with hands overhead, at the top of each rep.

I like Taylor’s explanation on step ups, but don’t bar muscle ups carry momentum from one movement to the next? Same applies for other movements. Maybe momentum is not the only defining characteristic of monostructural/gymnastics movements
