A good Samaritan is now seeing firsthand that “no good deed goes unpunished” after her selfless act that went viral on TikTok, has now led to a legal battle with GoFundMe. Sanai Graden, a student in Washington DC, was vlogging on her way to the store when she decided to go above and beyond to help a homeless man, Alonzo Douglas-Hebron, whom she met along the way. The ordeal got so much attention online that she set up a GoFundMe to help Alonzo get back on his feet. A GoFundMe campaign that ultimately raised $403,000 on Alonzo’s behalf. However, after a local news station released a story making claims about Alonzo’s criminal history, Graden claimed that GoFundMe refused to release the money and even believed the issue could be racially motivated. If he needs an ID, tell him to go to 64 New York Ave NE, get a paper that allows him to get a free one as an unhoused citizen, and then he can go to the DMV....they will send the ID back to 64 NY Ave and he can use that address to put on the ID too...and just come back and pick it up...im sure he knows where the building is if he is in DC ❤❤

shopify did that to me too for 146k they deposited the money and i transferred it to another account they withdrew the money from my account and it was in a negative 3 days later it was back to normal because the funds weren’t there for them to withdraw they asked me to return the money i didn’t do they closed my store 😩they really do get paid off investing you’re money for 6 months before they release it.

@@verlania7539 When someone needs a loan they get it from a loan provider. As a way to profit off of loaning money, providers charge interest (a percentage of the original fee). So if they loan you $20k and charge you 6% interest, they’ll make $1200 for loaning it to you. With that in mind, you can see how there would be no interest to collect in this case since it’s just donations sitting in an account waiting to be withdrawn.

I can understand why GoFundMe is scrutinizing the account. There was a news story about another fundraiser for a homeless guy years ago. The couple that opened the account decided to control how the funds were spent and the homeless guy had no access to the account.

I have an unpopular opinion. The act shown on camera appears to be unprovoked. It seems he really is the perpetrator because no one including him, denied it. This is a dangerous individual. There’s a possibility that God has him in his current state as a natural protection to the public. He’s weak and feeble as a consequence for how he lived his life. His behavior should not be rewarded. He needs to suffer the consequences of his decisions. The money should be returned to those who donated.
