I hate to admit the Lee Load all sometimes seems to make better crimps than my MEC... My 20 gauge MEC is set up just about perfectly though

They’re capable of loading factory looking shells if you do your part on them lol
@crankygunreviews11 ай бұрын
@@theshotgunscientists same with the mec. The mec is a little more difficult with different length hulls only because it has stops built in, so you have to adjust screws to get it right with shorter hulls. But I love my Mecs. You guys seriously make the Lees sing though

Well that's just freaking freaky! As soon as I thought ITX you said ok we'll go with the ITX LOL . Acetone/fingernail polish removal takes the writing off most hulls.

I appreciate all the good info and especially the details..! I scored an 8 pounder of WSF recently.. have you been able to load heavier than 1 3/8 with wsf in 12ga? You asked what we would like to see... Casting videos - making ingots, bullets, buckshot, slugs, round balls. Powder coating all of the above. I would really like to see your process. Dual 10 gauges x 3... That'll be awesome! Thanks for the video...
@theshotgunscientists2 жыл бұрын
I did a casting video once before and KZfaq deleted it and gave me a warning. Did another one and the deleted it too and gave me a strike. As for the wsf, I’m sure 1.5 ounces is possible, I just have worked up a load. There may be manuals out there that show heavier. I could do a powder coating video next time I need more pellets.

@@theshotgunscientists That's to bad about the youtube rules. You may have to open a rumble account.. I know Wade is now posting videos that yt doesn't like on rumble. Have you ever made shot? It's something I'm tinkering with.

From what I understand .29 cal is right in between no.1 and no.2 buck size. I guess “true” no.1 is .30 caliber, and your .31’s are just slightly small single0. but you know, not all the pellets are the same exact size. Especially not in factory loads… lol. Do you think this small size discrepancy helps fit any more pellets into smaller bores like the 16 and 20 gauge?
@theshotgunscientists2 жыл бұрын
.29 cal stacks perfect in extended range 16 gauge wads. 31 cal will stack in 12 gauge extended range wads whereas 33 and sometimes 32 cal will not. Both 31 and 32 are considered 0 buck, although some people will call 32 00 buck. If I was loading tons of extended range 12 and 16 gauge, 31 and 29 cal would be the winners.

Holy shyt! Dual wielding 10 Guage shotguns with heavy loads? I've not even seen that in the movies lol .. would be even cooler if you used black powder .. the smoke and fireball would be impressive.

Great video. Have you ever had a problem with new 3" 20 gauge hulls on your Lee Load all? I always seem to crush them.
@theshotgunscientists2 жыл бұрын
Never had an issue. Just gotta make sure stack height is correct. Too much stack height will most certainly crush the hulls. I load mostly 3” 20 gauge, when I load 20.

I hope your 20 ga. paper hulls work better than mind. When I fire them they come apart.

We filmed a video with them and they gave us no issues. We got a squib with 1 but that was my fault, very poor seal. It’ll be out in a couple days.

@theshotgunscientists7 ай бұрын
00 buck is too big for 20 gauge. Bore diameter is .62 hull diameter is .635 and 00 buck stacked by 2’a is .66. It does fit in 16 gauge a little loosely and works amazingly well. You can fit .34 cal 00+ in 16 gauge.
