#569: Today we're sitting down with Danna Omari. Danna is the founder of Noy skincare, an intimate skin wellness studio in New York City. She’s been in the industry for over 15 years & improving skin is her greatest passion. She struggled with acne while growing up and through that, found her calling. She became well known in the industry for her buccal massage facial and taking a different approach to skincare. Danna joins us today to discuss her whole story, how she discovered buccal massage and learned how to be the best at it, what facial massage is and why it's beneficial for your skin, and she gets into how facial massage has grown and evolved over the last few years. She also gets into her personal battle with cancer, why it's important to find root causes to everything, her healing journey & overcoming addiction to painkillers, and she gives the audience tips on how to eliminate stress from your life.

I came here to listen to Danna after her passing. So honest and graceful. These two hosts could learn to stop interrupting so terribly. There were things she was trying to say, and we wanted to hear to the last word, but they totally cut her off and changed the trajectory of the topic.

I know in hindsight it's easy to find better ways of holding this conversation, especially given the circumstances that Danna is no longer with us. But there was so much more space that she deserved when talking about the most painful time in her life. Cancer pain or childbirth? That was a little insensitive in my opinion. Danna thank you for everything and for sharing your story. Thank you to the hosts for bringing her on anyway. It is great to hear her discuss her life, even if the conversation was sporadic.

A lot of us are hear to listen to Danna. There are a lot of ads in this video, a ton tbh, and I would love to see some of the proceeds of this video go to the family. Danna supported her family in so many ways, and now that she has passed I’m thinking of ways to continue supporting the business she was building. Please consider donating the proceeds from these ads, this video is gaining a lot of traction right now. Danna is so incredibly missed.

I’d also love to see any additional footage you might have of this interview. It took a strange and quite honestly disrespectful, turn towards the end when the host promoted her own gua sha and started talking about gua sha for the testicles, or a penis shaped gua sha, and how Danna’s facial massage videos are like porn. Extremely disrespectful to the ancient healing modality that gua sha is in TCM, and how Danna has made it her craft. Also just a sore ending to a conversation on such a sensitive topic.

I watched her for so long during Covid and took a very long break from social. Only just finding out that she passed so many months later. There is not a lot out there of this beautiful soul speaking and sharing her experience. It’s really sad that she’s trying to share and these 2 people are more interested in hearing themselves talk. Why have a guest? She gave off such a light and is absolutely evident she was a HEALER. RIP Danna 😢

I lost my mother to cancer when I was 9... She was only 39. I am now 35 with 5 children... getting cancer and leaving my kids behind is my biggest fear... To the point where I'm damn near manifesting it...And I mean I've thought about it literally my entire life because of what I went through. I was called to danna a year ago on ig... No idea why... Maybe hearing what you had to say today was exactly it. Thank you. ✨🙏🏼✨

She seems like such a wise woman. It seems that the illness allowed her to unlock some real wisdom. It is very sad. It is interesting that she mentions the death of her friend happening before she got ill. She also mentions the root canal. She discovered A LOT about health... It is a real shame that there wasnt enough time for her to heal. Great she managed to spread messages about health and how connected everything is.

@ValerieL456

It is so so crazy how no matter what or when Michael is trying to talk Lauren and the guests will just talk over him. He will keep trying to talk and they will keep doing it. Interrupting already gives me such an uncomfortable feeling but to this degree is so wild. Like he will keep trying to start and Lauren will interrupt him every single time just reiterating what she interrupted him with the first time. It's unbearable...1:31:22... Its insane, when Laurent stops interrupting and he starts talking again the guest interrupts him. He never even finishes or answers the question and the other two are just saying a bunch of nothing over and over and over. Michael is a good sport but it's unpleasant to hear especially if you actually want to hear his response for once...

It really broke my heart to see someone so young speaking about their journey with the pain. I understand chronic pain. I did it to myself and the doctors to did it. Some doctors just care about making money not the well being of patients. Please do not get plastic surgery even with the best doctors. It sets in motion long-term consequences for your body.
