If the game only has five planets but each planet has a large map than that sounds fine to me

The gameplay reminded me a lot of Horizon, Uncharted, and a bit of Jedi Survivor.

I am absolutely amazed by the trailer alone, I can't wait for this game to release. this game has alot of potential.

It might actually be a decent game but I am pretty sure there will be a huge backlash after people realize the open world is just a handful of planets and the hyperspace travel is just a loading screen...

6 planets is enough in my book. I'd like 6 main planets that are hand crafted 100% maybe a few ship types you can land on, and more weapon types. Like assault blaster or a shotgun blaster.

Star Wars Galaxies was and still is the most immersive Star Wars experience. In an MMORPG with very few Jedi and no instructions on how to unlock Jedi, it was rare to see a Jedi and especially see them fighting. Players would stop what they're doing just to watch because of how rare that was early on. Just like the Star Wars universe. What a game

Cannot wait. Love the Tom Clancy game and Watch Dogs so this coming from Massive/Ubisoft has me superhyped! It does have a big boast to live up to if they want to convince me they can do open world Star Wars better than SWG tbh. But this team is GOOD at world building and story telling and their game engine is solid and proven for sure. The devs + Star Wars make this the most anticipated game in a decade or more for me. Plus... Frontiers of Pandora being hugely popular is going to help it a lot!

"Jedi Syndrome" is the only realistic way to make a quality game in this genre and setting.

The original SWG, before they caved and made it like WoW, was the largest most open world mmorpg of all time. I've never seen anything come close to that open sandbox feel, and probably never will.

I'm not really worried about the number of planets in the game because I see this as a game where it's pretty easy to insert DLC content. If they want to make money while they work on their next game I expect one or two major DLC's a year for a few years post launch if the game does well. So hopefully by the time the game is done we might get 3-5 more full planets added after the fact with maybe a couple smaller zones centered on a DLC sidequest.

We can trust Ubisoft when it comes to create huge open world games. I loved playing Odyssey, the immersion is really cool, and the few things this star wars game seems to borrow from Battlefront 2 adds a good action vibe to it. I think this game can be really fun to play. I'm sure Ubisoft would love to make other star wars games in the future so they're going all in with this one

Looks cool but i wish you could change hairstyle and color and have shops in different planets with lots of clothes that match the world from pants to shirts to skirts snd dresses and robes. That would be cool to make the character more you!

Lucas Arts should have released a Star Wars version of Mercenaries on the PS2. One of the cheats in that game let you play as Han Solo and that's how I always played it!

I wholeheartedly disagree with the Jedi syndrome comment. Starfield is a perfect example of why. I would much rather have 5 hand-crafted areas to visit than 1000 procedurally generated planets that recycle points of interest to the point where you constantly feel like you explored a planet you've never been to before. Now, the Jedi games are a little more linear/sandbox buy design. So, this game to step up to 5 planets that each equate to 2-3 areas of AC Odyssey actually sounds like a really good compromise as long as those areas are interesting. There's always going to be a limit. Do the devs spends a decade hand crafting a bunch of maps/planets or so they dip into procedurally generated areas which just can't match handcrafted yet. I'm sure one day, with AI help, procedurally generated maps, can be as interesting as handcrafted maps, but not yet.

It is incredibly unrealistic to explore the entire Star Wars Galaxy in one game. Who cares if both Jedi games have 5-6 locations in each game. There are still the 2 best Star Wars Games there are.

Looks nice, but lets wait because ubisoft This ideia of "exploring the whole galaxy" doesnt work. The more planets you create, the less detail and quality they will have, starfield is the best example. Less is more.

Hey, look I get it. Jedi had only a few planets to explore. Just like literally every other game. Battlefront doesn't count because it is just battle maps, not full exploration. Pretty much every franchise can only explore 1 to 5 places in their universe and 90% of those are just different biomes on the same planet. So, can you give Jedi credit where it is due? Survivor was amazing after they worked out the kinks. Compared to other Star Wars Games it has got far more exploration as well. Reducing that triumph to "Jedi syndrome" (a term you had to define because no one says that) is just ridiculous.

The only reason I'm not going to be playing this game is because you have no choice in your character that's a hard NO for me you should have all the say on what you're character is in open world game and not have it pre-selected for you.
