Good review, we have an older model and the compartment on the left side ( stop the video at 7:57)is meant to hold 2 small 150 ml Thetford dispenser bottles for travelling, one green refill and one pink. This will give 1 or 2 refills without having to store bigger bottles elsewhere while camping for short periods.

Good review..Been using the same model here in the states for 14 years....it is been in my vans and now in all my pickup trucks. Wife and I hike and hit the mountains all the time so it is a must. (I have shells on my trucks so there is privacy). 2 tips I would add, if your traveling from different elevations rather quickly...like coming down the mountain or going up the mountain and you need to go......open the drain flap real slow and only a little bit till pressure equalizes......or guess what? Second do the same technique if it has been sitting in a hot camper or tent where the tank pressure could increase. I have forgotten to tie it down a few times and rolled it in the back of the truck, nope no leaks! Otherwise this here potti has been a great investment!

Pour spout seal is just a simple O ring, and the pour spout comes out very easily. Twist the spout all the way around (past the pour position) and it pops out. Easy peasy to replace the O ring

Now, this was worth watching..I noticed he keeps the flap open before pooping, it probably helps from getting poop on your flap , Then close your flap, when done..The flap is what holds the poop smell out ...other words try keep the poop 💩 off your flap and your toilet will work better and last longer ? I would think 🤔

Great review. We have used a 165 for 5 yrs now, and it has allowed us to camp in spots we would not otherwise go to. We are a couple of oldies with a soft floor camper and just set it up in a corner of the tent as you mentioned. Liked and subscribed.

We are having a campervan built for us and are planning to use a Thetford Curve in there. Great info. That campground sounds like what we experience in Oklahoma State Parks. Looks like they hadn't cleaned since 1974 and toilet paper everywhere. Sorry to see there are nasty people the world over, at least there are those of us who are offended by that.

You mentioned how hard the ground can be to dig a hole at times. I added a small pick mattock to my gear to fix that problem. Makes real quick work of breaking through the hardest ground. It lives in the ute. Was about $40 from Bunnings a few years back. Looks like I will be getting a Thetford real soon as well.

Not sure how to ask this question tastefully? How long do the chemicals take to break down solids (No 2's)? For example, if you do no 2's and then go to dump site 1 hour later, is it gross e.g. no broken down, smelly, peg on the nose stuff........

All was good until when you were showing how to dump it out - there is the big hole still open. My thinking is that I could carry it into a rest area bathroom and dump it in a toilet, but maybe I am wrong on that assumption. You wouldn't want to be walking anywhere with the big gaping hole with stuff splattering out of it. Am I understanding it correctly?
