I love the fact that they didn’t do the usual dive watch thing and made a smaller watch that is truly unique. Love the hands, love the dial (especially the tan face model)!! Got mine on Kickstarter and can’t wait to wear it loud and proud! Well done Mitch Mason!!

Cool watch! I was already digging it, but when you said 36mm I was like YESS! Such an open goal for watch makers, you can't miss with a well built and well designed 36mm with a screw-down crown. I even think the hands are cool!

I love it! The second hand hugs the rim of the case. It’s balls out in your face bold and unapologetically original. This will not remain a micro brand.

Somehow the hour hand looks like a clenched fist with the index finger pointing up. Awesome watch, super unique. Very smooth sweep too.

I really like this watch. I love the case size. I love case design. The sandwich dial is a nice touch. Don’t love the logo and branding on the dial. It’s not terrible, but really doesn’t do anything for me. To be totally honest the hour hand is not a design I like. I appreciate doing something different. I would purchase this watch. If it had different hands. I hope it’s just a me thing. I would love to see this micro brand continue on. It’s refreshing to see the design and thought that went into this watch.

When I see the hour hand, I think of the tip of a fountain pen. I love the denim look of the dial and how it contrasts with the orange seconds hand.

It is nice to see a new watch with its own personality. IMO the hour hand is a winner because few things drive me more crazy than a design ruined by an undersized hour hand.

It's a watch whose design I like very much! Having said that, it's kind of difficult to justify the purchase when I own both the Traska summiteer (no date field watch) and the SARB alpinist (similar dial design).

I just noticed: The hour hand is a detail of the logo, as if it worked like a cyclops at 12, when it's over the printed logo. Kinda, sorta... Unusual but great detail!!

Enjoyed the video, thanks. I like the watch, but the second hand is useless in the dark without any lume.I think the main reason beside cost is the no-date Miyota 9039 is an actual no-date movement without a ghost position. I have plenty of movements from Sellita and the Miyota 9000 series. I actually prefer the Miyota 28,800 bph. I've never had any issues with them. The SW200 I've had a few crap out and had to get replaced.

I like the design.. It's just.. Different and unique especially with those hands. This with a bracelet or rubber strap would be perfect for me. Daily watch that I can take swimming.

I think the hour hand is a stylized left hand with the index finger extended & the thumb across the other fingers... Would be great if the watch had some anti-magnetic qualities.

I actually like the funky almost art deco design. My only gripes are the name. I feel like too many watches have full names on them which I don't like. Also, I feel like it's a little over branded.

Jody got two watches in that watch roll. What happened to the second one? I actually like that one better. One minor criticism is the font used for the word “Automatic”. The “t”s look like they are not crossed and the “o” looks like an “a”. It’s definitely not an “a” as compared to the actual lower case “a” in the word but it looks like the word is misspelled.

I like it, looks a bit like a 70's Certina Argonaut, the hour hand indeed looks like a fist and pointing finger or the hat of a traditional Mongol horseman.

I don't think it's been said, but the case design is a very close redesign of vintage Grand Seiko designs of the late 60s/70s. Check out the 4520-8000 and 4522-8000 as examples of references that use this case design. I was very tempted by one of these as I am hunting for a vintage GS at the moment, but the hand set and case thickness are what put me off (subjective taste!). Otherwise it looks like a great watch!

It does not appear to have any significant lug curvature . I mean it's not that tiny that it can sit happily and squarely on the upper wrist. Elephant i n the room? Or not?

They should have stayed with the Sellita, which has a rotor that winds in both directions, while the Myota winds in one direction only and "spins" in the other direction, which I've heard makes for a wobbly sensation whilst spinning. Full disclosure; I don't have any first hand experience with the Myota, partly because I'm a little wary of the wobble and possible noise. You see a lot of Myotas in micros, so they must be selling, but I would much prefer the Swiss movement.

I would have join the KS if they kept the Swiss Movement.. there's already enough KS watch projects with Japanese movements. Hopefully they will release the Swiss movement version down the road.

I don't have anything against Swiss or Japanese, but I do know that personally I have several Microbrand watches with Japanese movement already. So if I decided to find Watch with Swiss movement to add to my collection.
