In today's vlog we head to Disney's Blizzard Beach water park but we got rained out. We learned some tips and tricks along the way though so there's a little silver lining. Jackson also got to ride his first real water slide and it was so cute! He loved it! We can't wait to get back to Blizzard Beach for another trip soon and ride all the things and have all the fun! Happy Father's Day Tim. Jackson was a big boy on the tube slide. I would have been nervous that he would let go of the handles, but life guards on both sides. And he took the "tidal wave" of water at the end of the slide like a trooper. That was like, Omg! at first and then I laughed. Please do an outside home water pad/Jackson fun park day and film it. I was waiting all week to see it. Love watching him experience his first.

Lol, Jackson going down the slide on that tube was GREAT! 👍 He held on and stayed up very well. It's not fun having to wait till the rain ends. For that money I would have stayed, even with a baby. The soy d of the thunder was nice😊

I so loved watching Jackson go down on the tube by himself. Shows the confidence he has gained from you both and can imagine he is going to want to have a go at everything as his age allows. You will have some awesome adventures in the future with that little buddy.

I used to make those ice cream buckets as a college program cast member. I always loved seeing the kids faces when they got it! Jackson looked like he loved it!

@@esciteach7997 I'm sure that Disney has policies in place about children's safety on rides, and they wouldn't have let Jackson ride if it wasn't safe. Also, "he could have drowned very quickly"... Sure, maybe if there wasn't a lifeguard literally right next to the bottom of the slide waiting for him.

We got rained out at Blizzard Beach on 6/16/21, which looks like it may have been the day you visited. Correction about rain checks. Disney DOES have an official inclement weather policy. If the park is temporarily closed for weather, you can leave the park and receive an “inclement weather voucher.” You can only receive this voucher while the park remains closed AND as long as you’ve been in the park under 4 hours. The voucher is good for a return visit (to the same water park) within 365 days. We were happy to get a voucher after trying to wait out the rain and giving up.

That's good information to know! When we contacted Guest Services they told us: "unfortunately we do not offer refunds or rainchecks for tickets due to inclement weather." I wonder if it depends on who you talk to? We couldn't stay in line for Guest Services at the park so we asked through the app.

We didn’t go to the water park, but we were returning to the airport on this day and passed Blizzard Beach. The sign said “Closed for Inclement Weather”

As a grandparent, I’m so happy that you’re raising Jackson fearless. My daughter and her spouse raised my grandson afraid of everything at Disneyland and it bums me out greatly. On one of his birthdays, he literally just wanted to stay in the hotel room. Disneyland hotel, so I get it, but still…😂

OMG JACKSON WITH HIS BEACH HAT ON WAS SO CUTE!!! I love how he has another leaf haha!!! And awwww Jackson going down the slide with Jenn he was really shocked at the water haha but he smiled right after! SO cute!!! AND OMG HIS FIRST RIDE HE DID IT ALL BY HIMSELF RIDING THE TUBE!!! Yes. Each lightning resets the time. I know it can suck but that is pretty standard practice for water parks and pools.

Florida weather yall: My family lived in Tampa for years, and my sister has since lived in Orlando and works for Disney. Most of the time, the rain/lightning passes. It usually does not rain all day, it comes and goes. I have seen so many guests get stalled from rain for less than an hour and they will just leave the parks. Unless it is a heavy storm, it will usually pass in time so you can wait it out. Water parks are harder though since literally every attraction is outside. The rule of thumb I use is if it has been raining/lightninging for less than an hour straight I will stick it out.

Yep. Rain will usually pass unless it's some storm/front coming through. It's great though because the parks empty out, especially DAK and DHS lol but I agree, wait it out if you can ... a waterpark is more difficult of course.

i recommend their water parks very much, the amount of people there isn't crazy at all and as exhilarating water rides can be it's really a step away from what the big disney parks bring with the crowds and fast paced moving.
