The painted grilles from those model years haven't aged well but the chrome will always be in style.

Since you took the grille out, may as well replace the headlights and turn signals. LED. I see you got no fog lamps. Still nice looking truck. Appreciate the easy to follow video.

Get a trim remover tool instead of 2 slots;) kinda water energy not to clean up the parts before replacing them! Just a thought.

You dont need to remove the headlights for this project, only the turn signals need removed so you can get at the 2 screws on each side. Doing this today and my only concern is the 2 lower retaining clips as I will be reusing them. I am only replacing the grill insert not the entire frame. Wish me luck!

I took my time removing the old grille insert and my project turned out fantastic! Thanks so much for your video and remember if you take on this project, be very careful and patient. Also, use the right tools, trim removal tools are available at your local auto parts store.

Cool - did you know according to AAA the 4.6 Ford is the no. one engine doing 300k miles? Sucks if you have the 5.4 like most. Great Vid.

5.4 and 4.6 are very similar engines, also the one that failed in this truck failed by neglect. The new engine is now in good hands 🍻

As long as it's an early 2004 called the "Heritage" it will fit. They were using up 2003 parts for the "Heritage"edition. The later 2004's changed and this grill will not fit. If you enter your VIN # at Rock Auto, or other sites, they will they you which one you have. I have a 2004 Heritage built in Oct, 2003 and yes this grille worked.
