That’s the one thing I have learned in my South Korean journey. They are very expressive people, everything is a big deal, it makes it so cute to watch them get excited over small stuff. I think many people do not realize that BTS has only become uber rich as INDIVIDUALS, in the last couple of years. All of the success would have taken time to catch up to them as individuals financially in their framework as idols. I think it’s fantastic that they have had all of the years of a more normal level of income, as well as other opportunities to realize budget constraints, via Run BTS, and other activities. That will serve them so well in the years ahead. And just want to add, that I am thrilled that they are now fantastically wealthy. Cannot think of a group of individuals who deserve that more.

Besides the fact that they're VERY humble and appreciative, it's the realization of how far they have come with Run BTS. And how modest the beginnings were when they started their variety show. The majority of these clips are decontexualized clips from RUN BTS episodes where Income Limits were part of the challenge included. Others are when they're on Vacation, with limited opportunities to replace items.

In some of those clips in the early days they didn't see much money. I think all of them were sharing a room in the beginning. When they started seeing a little cash in the bank accounts they probably did forget. It was a long time before they could spend comfortably but I think they spend wisely and they also give a lot to different causes. They definitely aren't greedy....I love that about them.

In the clip showing Jimin begging for food, they were the lowest scorers in the game and got only $50 or something for their dinner budget, that's why they could only afford tripe and Jin was asking for more generous servings. J-hope and RM got $150 (?) and could afford beef. Although, I read somewhere that they genuinely value gifts given by ARMY, there were some bowls given them in their early days that they were seen to still be using years later.

In the run episodes, they're allotted money that can be spent. That's why they're given a menu with the prices and they need purchase meals accordingly to how much money they have so they don't run out. Just like any run eps there's penalties involved. As far as how they act in real life, to me they seem very humble and gracious to everyone. Not like snooty rich people usually act. They're are grateful for achieving the amount of success they worked hard for and of course just like anyone else in the entertainment world, you get paid well. Hey guys you three are 😂😂😂. On a personal note I never been rich , wasn't born with a silver spoon in my mouth and really I care not to be rich. You can't take what you accumulate on this earth with you , so if you have the means do something good with it. The only thing that we have that is priceless is our souls .

Those menu prices had me doing a double take when I saw that Run episode too. 150,000 won for a glass of milk, ridiculous. I think they were also outraged cause they were partially there to promote the place. This is a funny video but everything is out of context. A lot of older clips where they weren't make nearly anything. Like the one with Jhope getting the switch. Or vids where they were more shocked at the staff being able to afford to buy certain prizes like the gift cards or the Louis Vuitton. My fave are those times they are shocked by advancing tech, which I think the portable ramen cooker was about. Or, it's not in here but Jin being in awe of the vegetable cutter 😂. They don't have $9-10 million in the bank each. Bulk of that $60million probably goes to the government followed by hybe and bighit. Jin mentions on Nothing Much Prepared he's never seen that much money at once. You also have to take into account that they weren't really earning serious money until around 2017.... so those earlier episodes these things were a bonus, and they still lived in dorm. Most of the clips are from either Bon Voyage or Run and they were given budgets as part of the game or trip hence them wanting extra or moaning about how expensive things are. Actually the amount of won converted wasn't as much as you think either 😂. They often gave it away to family and friends too, they often said so. They've always lived relatively humbly for the millionaires they now have become too. They do have expensive things but they are not lavish and wreckless as you can see from their apartments.. they try to live simply, still buy convenience store food etc and donate a lot of their money to numerous charities. They remember where they've come from, the struggle they've had and do not just blow the money they earn which why I respect them even more.
