it was hilarious watching the pre-beta leaks get circulated on twitter and everyone immediately started doomposting, saying she's "dehya level" and that she's an "easy skip". less than 24 hours later they're back to raving about her. i wish people weren't prone to knee-jerk reactions to everything they read concerning leaks. it's okay to have a measured response to things and to wait for more information to come out lol.

The only real nerf then basically is her rotation usage which requires her to do things in a longer chain than before. Overall she got a rework-buffs. I expect Chevreuse to be one of the 4* in her banner if Hoyo feels generous.

So now I REALLY Hope that Chevy is on her banner and that I could get a Copy.. I'm not particularly lucky with these 4* "mono element" buffers, I've basically only got C1 Sara, C0 Gorou, and the Free Faruzan from Event, the highest I've got is Mika C2 just cause he was on Shenhe banner on his release, like what- (?) Either way, since VV Vape doesn't seem that good, I hope to at least getting Chevy, or else I have no idea what team to use her c:

do we know yet whether her bond of life consumption is a % of max health or a % of her current bond of life? it makes an even bigger difference now because depending on how you read it you either get 10 attacks or 20 attacks from 80% to 20%, which is the difference between a 22s cooldown and a 14s cooldown skill

Ya'know, we definitely need a unit like her in the pyro roster, cause we barely have any new team rotations, it let players definitely use our brains to come up a stratergy like Childe and Alhaitham, these 3 have something that needs to keep on check when their on-field that is not only their infusion duration, Childe's CD, Alhaitham's Mirrors, and upcoming Arlecchino's BoL. Arlecchino is definitelty a character whose a high risk high reward character.

Thanks for your explanations! I have a question about teams, I wanted to use Arlecchino in a melt team (wanted smth different than vape). My idea was to make a team with her, Layla and Kaeya. My Layla is c6, and her c4 increases everyone's atk, depending on Layla's hp, so, I guess, it's gonna help Arlecchino? Cause she scales of atk, right? And my Kayea is c3, his c2 allows to extend his burst duration depending of the number of defeated enemies, max +15 sec. As Arlecchino is meant to fight against a lot of enemies, I guess, they have a good synergy? So, my questions, is this team has a potential? And if so, who is better for the 4th slotin it?

wait so since she can now use skill before spamming her NA, this means her on field time will be immensely increased as well as her damage overall. Look at it this way, imagine she fight against multiple enemies, some are weak some are tanky. After her skill - burst - CA - skill rotation, multiple enemies are tagged with Blood Debt. As she spam NA, some enemies will die and the tanky ones will survived. The one that died will give her more bol since her passive grants her 70% bol after enemy with Blood Debt is killed. Really interesting change indeed

I wouldn't be surprised if we'll need another video like this next week, my only hope is that she only gets stronger with every beta mini update

this is such good news for me - ive been trying 25 seecond chevy miko fischl rotations with every pyro on fielder since chevy came out, , and they're fun but Arlecchino 's kit just fits it perfectly

3:30 it should be noted that in most situations the "short" duration rotation will give her 160 BoL just like her "long" rotation will unless you are fighting against single boss entity as her elemental skill can mark multiple enemies at once so as long as you have 2 enemies close to each other you will get the maximum bond of life as soon as you collect it even without having to wait for it to "cook".

Are there any real changes to her vaporize or melt teams? I plan to either use her with layla and rosaria or xingqiu and zhongli. These teams dont really suffer from any of the changes right?

Creating a problem in the long cooldown and then adding roundabout ways to solving it with the reset is kinda poopy but it's still good I guess

Can i ask about how well a burning Arlecchino team would perform? The team would be Arle (lavawalker), zhongli (petra), kazuha (vv) and nahida (ToM/deepwood, with ttds maybe?) I think this team is interesting as Arle would be almost invulnerable to burning damage (20% res from passive, 40% res from lavawalker, 15% res from 4 diff elements in team), and the high dmg% buffs from the team would allow her to potentially maximize her passive from using an attack goblet instead. zhongli + kazuha shreds up to 60% res, and granting around 70% damage bonus Arle could use an attack goblet in this case since theres a lot of dmg% (passive 40% pyro dmg bonus, 35% from lavawalker, 70% from zhongli kazuha), or rely on ttds + ToM attk buffs from nahida With the high res and zhongli shield, she can definitely survive in the middle of burning enemies without issue, and she would feel like a pyro god who is undefeatable by fire

I have a feeling that the reason why Arlecchino's beta is so messy, her kit changing so drastically and her animations being unfinished (until now), is because the devs got setback by the Lantern Rite patch (which, unlike previous lantern rites, got a new Liyue expansion as well) as well as chinese new year's holiday, where they get time off work. I think most of the changes we're seeing live with Arlecchino, are usually worked out BEFORE the beta starts. It seems like hoyo didn't have a clear picture of what Arlecchino's kit was supposed to do, is she supposed to be skill focused, burst focused, normal or charge attack focused, all or some of the above etc, which is why we're seeing so many changes being made now, they're figuring out stuff as they go basically.

How does Arle's new artifact set compare with Gladiator? I'm thinking of just going glad since she seems to be normal attack focused.

My first time seeing this change, my preliminary understanding of it is that Mihoyo wanted Arlecchino to fits more with Chevreuse overload team without hard limitting to it. But your arguments is much better by basing it on long rotation instead of mine who just seeing it from how much instance of damage she's done now and how's that benefit so much from Chev's shred. It's so nice to have a character that allows teams to have no healers and more damage in change of no healing. Really like characters that the better you are at the game, the better they are too... And the healing is not 6K, it's the current BoL + 300% of her ATK stat.

"there's a short rotation, and there's long rotation" in my head: "gigguk video about fate lore" the bad thing about this change is, the heal from her burst fix at 300% ATK, so now you can't make her heal more 😢

Even though these are overall buffs and she feels more interactive to play, instead of just spaming NAs, I don't really like the new kit. Before, she was overall very comfy to use but had one main cool gimmick that was that you couldn't heal her. Now she keeps that but is also way more annoying to use because there's way more things that can go wrong and fuck your rotations, and a lot of those potentially disruptive things aren't even player dependent, just some enemies being annoying can fuck you over.

Her changes look exciting! Sorry if this is something that's already been addressed or is obvious, but has it been confirmed that the Bond of Life limit from her two skills are separate? I noticed that you mentioned her Total Bond of Life will be 140% in her new long rotation, while you don't mention any normal attacks between the two Skill > ... > CA sequences. I was confused on whether the Skill 80% Bond of Life limit essentially just capped how much you can get in a single CA, or if it was a hard limit...

Although on the base line she seems quite comparable to Hu Tao in terms of general performance as a field-oriented Pyro DPS, my intuition is telling me to bet money on Clorinde (and possibly Siegewinne) having also Bond of Life related abilities, including support utilities, which will end up making Arlecchino the superior field option in teams that include said characters. The release of the new artifact set also somewhat points in this direction. The good thing is that Clorinde and (again, possibly) Siegewinne's beta should start in 4.6 as per current leaks, so we'll know soon enough if my intuition is correct 😅😂.

Good explanation. I guess I'll pass on her. I'm too old to play characters that require specific number of normals in their rotations. I just can't sit there and count how many normals I'm using,, or how many seconds I'm spamming normals to maximize a rotation.. I want EQ quick swap spam, or like yoimia where I use the other 3 to E, Q buff then yoimiya can just E and spam normals until I see the red numbers turn white. Or zhong li E(too boomer thumbs to dodge) furina E, Q, Jean Q, E, neuvillette E, charged, if anything still alive, Q CA, CA. I play games to turn my brain off and relax. I don't want hard complicated gaming. That's why I don't play dark souls or and of my classic nes games these days.

also the fact that the aoe aspect comes more into play now. If there's more than one enemy, you dont have to wait 5 sec for each E and retrieve bond instantly both times and max the bond easily so even more flexible rotations... Im very happy with these changes. The only negative for me is healing being reduced(if wording means 100% bond cleared and 300% atk healed) and being locked to burst might make it tedious in overworld but she can get healed outside of battle normally so there's that. Also another negative could be if they give her skill a particle gen ICD but I dont think they will. Overall she looks very strong now, and to top it off, doesnt use the same team as Hutao. 2 pyro queens on top in 2 different types of teams(also overload makes me excited for Clorinde)

Instead of [Skill ---> wait 5 seconds --->Burst --> CA ---> etc] shouldn't the rotation be [Skill --->Burst --> wait few seconds ---> CA ---> etc] ? The first one seems to not let you catch the particles on your first rotation for your Burst since you are waiting for so long, and using burst would save 2 seconds or so from waiting to CA because of the burst animation, no?
