Why rather play Five of a Kind than Flush Five? He ignored the suit changing tarots every single time, even chose Planet X over Eris

choosing Planet X over Eris is good because at that point in the run Five of a Kind was already semi-leveled and there wasn't a realistic chance that Flush Five would be able to outscale it. I do think suit changing early on in the game for Flush Five is better to be able to level it earlier but NL just doesn't like to manipulate suits when he's not going for a flush build.

I think he doesn't get interest on the small blind, so usually the choice to skip it (initially) is quite appealing. Iirc, it's one of the difficulty modifiers.

Because you can beat ante one without jokers, and red stake makes the small blind give no reward, so if the tags are decent it's absolutely worth it.
