Jo Frost meets Amy Costello, who looks after her 10 children - ranging from 6 months to 15 years old - while husband Dale is away most of the week working as a truck driver. Amy is so overwhelmed that she's unloaded half of her parenting responsibilities onto her teenagers. The younger children couldn't care less who is disciplining them.

She should be focused on the ones she has this is so detrimental to her other children… it’s all about her and what she wants even if that means her older children have less!! Saw this with the Chapman family (2004) in this series. The narcissistic mother and father expected their 2 teenage girls to parent 3 younger boys and act as housekeepers/maids while attending online classes. But they still expected the girls to put THEIR demands ahead of their schooling. The girls are grown now and out of the house, and I believe they disowned Dad and Mom and cut them off. The boys are adults now but not sure what happened to them.

I watch these videos every opportunity I have. I'm always and very impressed with Jo Jo in the way she handles different parents and children. Her tecniques are very effective, it doesnt matter which family she's called in to help. The important thing is that as parents, responsibility must always be excercised. How two people create children and ignore them or expect them to look after their own siblings is beyond me. It's shameful and very irresponsible.

“Helping out” at home isn’t weird and creepy. Having reasonable chores and responsibilities as you get older teaches you how to do chores so you don’t move out of your parents home without knowing how to do your own laundry and clean your bathroom. Weird and creepy is parentifying your young teenagers to the point they have too much responsibility to have any childhood like Logan. The 14 year old got bawled out because Mom saw Jo observing them and thought it made her look bad. Unfortunately , bawling her out is what made her look bad.because Jo was observing normal roughhousing between siblings until mom went off.

The fact that the mom is so selfish that she doesn’t care that she can’t even take care of the kids she’s got now AMD STILL WANTS 2 MORE is insane absolutely insane

I found it so healing to see how angry at the parents Jo was. Even after the first video in the car, she said "KIDS, I'm on my way!"

this episode blows my mind every time i watch it. i was the youngest of four, raised almost solely by mom, and i already felt neglected with how her time was divided between her going back to school, her job and my siblings. i can’t imagine how emotionally, mentally and physically drained and alienated from their parents these kids feel having dad barely be present, and the kids are more parents than the actual parents are, all while still being kids themselves.

The mom doesnt want to leave the kids alone with their dad or allow him to have more responsibility because he's an alcoholic. The mom is completely selfish and delusional to think having more kids will improve anything.

The Oldest Children should be Allowed to study, do homework and have friendships, afterschool activities and dating! The parents need to Hire Adult Nannies to help with all of these children!

This made me realise that I never, ever had mother daughter time with my mother. She never wanted to do anything with me.

Same here. My mother is narcissistic and sadistic. They want servants (flying monkeys), not children.

I really think that these parents were expecting Ms Jo to come in and say "There there my loves, you're good parents, it's your collection of children who are rotten by choice!". Utterly unhinged.

Watching this makes me feel extremely grateful for my parents. Yes I have my disagreements or arguments but they were always there for my sister and I.
