The Oilers won this game by a final score of 5-1 and they have officially forced a game 7!!! Can you believe it? Because many, including myself felt like the Oilers were toast after game 3. Whatta great story let's break this one down boys.

The Oilers digital production crew knew what they were doing by sticking their giant Oilers digital logo in Bobrovsky's face at 2:08 of this video. That tactic should glue that image to Bobrovsky's brain for a while. Nice move boys. Go Oilers!

Main difference is Bobrovsky. He hasn't been the same since the third period of game three where he gave up two goals for the first time. Then in game four, the floodgates opened in the brick wall and still hasn't been fixed. 😄

@@my3dviews i'd say the main difference is that the oilers started to stretch the ice which negated the panthers forecheck and left bobrovsky exposed. the panthers are in a pickle when they can't play their style of game and the oilers are too fast and skilled.

@@blackberrythorns Game one, the Oilers were getting similar chances and Bobrovsky stopped them. In the last three games and even part of game three, he let in goals on shots that he would have stopped in the first two or three games. Much of that is the Oilers were shooting low and Bobrovsky is almost unbeatable down low. Plus the are more going to his blocker side, rather than his glove side. Sure, there are other factors than just Bobrovsky, but I said the "main difference" not the only difference.

Pulling your goalie against one of the best Penalty Killing teams in recent years? Its not as effective as it should be. They kill almost all penalties but an extra man is going to scare this team? No way.

I totally agree. However, when you're down 1-3 and you only have 5 min to make a comeback. Playing it safe is 100% a loss. The only way to maybe squeeze out a win is to go high risk high reward.

197 game 7s, 9 of which featured a team coming back from 3-0 (4.5% chance of this happening). 4 of those 9 completed the reverse sweep (2.5% chance). Only one of those comebacks was in a final, and that was the Leafs in 1942... So technically, 100% chance of a reverse sweep if in the finals? lmao. I mean if McDavid and Drai combine to have more points than Skinner, unlike game 6, I'd say those are cooked kitties.

No, that's not how it works. You are ignoring game sevens in the finals where the comeback team lost. Those aren't included in the 4 game comebacks, because well, they lost. 1945 the Redwings were down 3 games to 0. Then won the next three, but lost game seven.

@@shmooveyea I think it is close to 50/50 who will win. Edmonton clearly has the momentum, but the game is in Florida. If it was in Edmonton, I would give it an 80/20 odds for the Oilers. Anyway, it should be a good game either way.
