Average income is quite high here in Australia. $18/hr. I live in Sydney and the cost of living is also extensive. I think living depends on what sort of life we want to live. One should always balance income and expenses in the 1st year in any new country.

Hi Shilpa! Informative vlog once again! Much love! I am considering moving to Canada from Australia. Car insurance in Canada seems to be very expensive. In Australia it is around 800$ for CTP insurance, 50-60$ per month for 3rd party insurance & 100$ per month for comprehensive. So yearly you are paying on avg. 1520 - 2000$ per year depending if you choose 3rd party only or complete coverage. Can you please tell us some points how can we get cheapest insurance as a newcomer? What steps should we take to achieve lowest rates? Should I bring my Australian driving record? What if I have some tickets on it? Any letter from insurance company? Any approved driver training centers which can reduce my quote? I know that winter tyres and installing an app to record your driving habbits can get you some discounts. Isn't it best to register your car on someone else's name and list yourself as a secondary driver? Having lived in Australia I know that having a car improves ur employability. Specially for survival jobs. You say the same about canada too. But I have heard up to 500-700$ insurance quote per month for new drivers? Thats a ridiculous amount! I have been quoted 6,000$ per year insurance by canadian online insurance websites! Despite that I have a full australian license? Tips please!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼

I guess you got it wrong , people are mostly complaining about lateral hiring as non IT experiences are not considered to be global experience and that makes your life very difficult not only in Canada but here in US also. Only in IT your home country experience counts otherwise mostly people look for local experiences due to their logic of geographical , cultural & habitual understanding but as you rightly said it’s up to you what you want in life like it is what it is go for it 👍

I really like your vlogs Shilpa. Have been watching u guys since Ravish Vlog of Dubai vs Canada. In this vlog, like you said school is free, is it any school which parents can chose? Or is it only nearby area/community. Free medical means anytime any specialists doctors will be available to see with no 3-4 months waiting. License of Dubai will be ok there or separate tests? Cheers to you guys 🥂
@chitchatwithshilpa
@chitchatwithshilpa 3 жыл бұрын
Schools are based on your area but if you feel these are not good enough, you can always choose private schools.. Specialist appointments are based on emergency basis, not everyone has to wait, if its damn serious, specialist can see you next day also, saying from experience, happened with us.. Different professions need different licenses which is a different topic worth making another video but still there are lot of professions where you don't need any other license.. Again, we did not want to portray negatives for anything, neither another country or profession, just finding good and justifying the challenges...The people who decide to come to Canada will come anyway, so trying to make them positive...Cheers...

@@chitchatwithshilpa so private schools are affordable for startup parents there or newcomers. Job is there. Salary is good for blue collar jobs as they r protected by minimum wages and off course expenses is also very high. But not for white collar jobs , specially after covid. As in IT getting 30lpa to 40 lpa is very normal in India now. People r getting it with 5/7 years exp. Same in banking. Hence does not make sense to go to Canada as you can save much more here. Plus advantage is all weather travels, diverse land scape, 300 plus sunny days in a year. 6 seasons , all family gathering , access to new technologies, be a part of world fastest growing major economy and off course ghar ka khana. I still feel Canada is good only for blur collar jobs or farming

I agree with you to some extent. After pandemic, things have changed here too. Minimum wages have increased, IT jobs for 5 years experience candidates pay anything around $120k yearly, due to less immigration, there are more jobs. But yes, weather, family time, and other factors are unbeatable.
