Night 9.00pm with Oothhuvar's super voice echoing the praharas I use to follow sannathi wise Aarthis. Divine experience. Lord Nataraja and Govindaraja Perumal in close proximity.Hmm..it was 1960s...

In here TN most of them are saivars. Great saiva saint Mānickkavāsagar says "Thennadudaiya sivanae potri, ennātavarkum iraiva potri" Means he is the King of thennadu (south), he is the god for every living being.

I am an Odia, we are the purest Hindus on the planet and the most Vaishnavaite Hindu group, but we worship Shiva too as lord Balabhadra/Balarama, the brother of lord Jagannatha. Odisha is the only Hindu kingdom where you can't worship Vishnu without Shiva. Shivalingams are worshipped with chandan, tulsi and all Vaishnava things in Odisha only. Tamizh is the language of Gods, same as Sanskrit, Odia, Kannada, Telugu, Marathi etc. I have always loved Tamil, its very original and unique.

I am Bengali. Lord Balabadhra is considered Aadisesha as per i know. Yes, You are right eastern Vaishnava worship shiva also. But South indian madhavaacharya sampraday is completely Against it. Lord chaityana mahaprabhu also do not allow those Sampraday in puri as per my Knowledge.

@@nayanvaishnav8922 Mainstream Hinduism and Tamil language are two different entities. Ancient Tamils had their own religion completely different from Hinduism. Many excavations have proven that. By the way, I am a Tamil Hindu but I follow verified history rather than being emotional and blindly stating that Tamil and Hinduism are the same. They are not. Tamil belongs to everyone not just to Hindus.

Tamil does belongs to all but failing to cite the origin and real identity is pure plagiarism to quote in intellectual words. I would say its not right to say hinduism is different from Tamil language and Tamil had different way of worship, you say this because of the lack of knowledge on hinduism and ancient history. in what way Tamil and hinduism is different? indeed Tamil is a profound culture of hinduism, it is we hindus who worship our ancestors, our family gods, village gods, our supreme gods (trimurthty) and their avatars which is all based on vedic texts you will never find any difference in hinduism and Tamil culture but you can see many profound hindu culture in deep roots of Tamil Nadu !

When I first visited isha yoga at 2009 I was really surprised and shocked to see the story said about poosalar, one of the 63 nayanmars. I know about poosalar from my childhood since I was born and brought up from the place(Thirunindravur) where he is,but understood the greatness and glory of him only after seeing his story in isha.Now I proudly say that I was also from poosalar வாழ்ந்த மண்(from soil of poosalar).

Tamil is divine and secular language. The shivist saint Thirumoolar wrote 3000 poem in Tamil related to Shiva worship. Till now it's the basic ideology of shivism and Tamil medicine

This song has taken me to an another world that is divine. I now have immense respect and great appreciation for the Nayanmars. I would like to express immense gratitude to the students of Isha School, Sadhguru and whoever translated the Tamil versus to English. Translation may not be exact, but in some places, it is even better than the Tamil meaning. Great work - all of you.

This one song is the essence of 2500+ years of entire Tamil ( and thus Indian, South east Asian ) heritage, culture, history and emotions. This song easily covers stories of people from 3rd century to 9th century. This song has been instrumental in bringing out the hagiographic record of the history of the 63 Nayanmars in the 12 century by a Chola Prime Minister. This song after 1150 atleast, is still inspiring people, is still being used in the hindu household, is still making people emotionally melting. Many dozens of generations of people have sung this and melted in the bliss of Volunteers of Shiva ( Adiyaar ) and became the devotee of the devotees of Shiva ( Adiyaarkum Adiyen ), This is very, very unique to the Shaivite/hindu culture. I love this song..since I first heard it in isha program by the isha samskithi students..I rem going to one little girl in samskrithi uniform..and askinh her the song name..I hummed the song to let her find out what I am asking..finally she said thevaram..and namaskaram !! 2 words.. :) this was back in 2015 i guess !! Waaat a lovely song !!!

Tamil language is created by lord Shiva by order to pandya king development into 3 types (literature, music, art) in madurai. So,it is not a language, is it god to tamil people.
