Revolutionary Volume 1 and Volume 2 went through my ears and touched my brain, mind, heart, and soul. I couldn’t believe that an emcee like Tech existed. I was in my early to mid-20s when a half-Pakistani half-Philippine man introduced me to Immortal Technique and I was shocked at the content, wordplay, intelligence, knowledge, wisdom, understanding, rapping ability, delivery, and breadth of information expressed through emceeing. It’s probably wild for everybody when you hear Tech for the first time.

@ krs NEVER defended him. He was defending hip hop. The only thing krs did was say he never spoke to the victims and that he thought the way they went about it by spilling the beans to media platforms outside of hip hop giving the culture a bad name instead of handling it internally and going to someone like him or somebody who's a leader in hip hop was the wrong way of approaching the situation. Thats not defending pedophilia or anything like that, thats him defending hip hop and he constantly said that bam needs to handle his business and thats it got everything to do with bam and nothing to do with him. The only the krs was able to do at the point of that interview was have an opinion based on his perspective and try to protect the culture like he always has and making sure people don't get the whole culture twisted because of some shit that hasn't even been exactly proven to be truth. And if it is true then they should've handled it like men and not like little boys gossiping to the media and people who seek to degrade and control the movement that is hip hop.

Props to Immortal Technique for keeping it 100. He's a dope MC, and he's a solid activist too. Two years before the Daily News article dropped, I had a casual conversation with a co-worker about Hip-Hop, and I brought up Zulu Nation. Without missing a beat, he hit me with the truth about Bam. The co-worker was from Bronx River Projects, and when he was younger, one of Bam's dudes asked him and his peeps if they wanted to meet him. So when they go to meet him, Bam's got an adult movie on in his room. The associate says they'll come back later, but Bam says, "Nah, bring them in." My co-worker already knew what time it was and said peace. He wasn't about to fall into that trap. So when Ronald Savage dropped that interview for the NY Daily News, I knew for a fact that he was being 100. Shout out to my old co-worker for putting me on ahead of time, because that talk opened my eyes. And as a Bronx cat myself, I don't rock with Bambaataa, and I renounce KRS-ONE for defending him just for "the culture". Real ones already know.

I used to go to EOW in NYC with my boys who rap, and 1 night technique was there and performed "dance with the devil" the whole place was in a trance, I bought his cd off him and it had his pager number on it, I paged him 1 time and he remembered me and told me to keep bringing the girls out to the club 😂

@Mandie Shumway I just checked and it was released in 01, and then re-released a few years later, that original I had with the pager number goes for some decent money on ebay, I wish I still had mine.

@Mandie Shumway hahaha yea thats some cool shit, I seen a signed one on there too, that would be cool to own, but I don't wanna pay those prices when I could have had that when I bought the CD myself back in the day.

What he opened with is something I've been saying for years. People say we need stricter sentencing for violent crime, and I say criminals never i tend on getting caught.
