Nursing brass can help by making sure that milk can flow without any pressure from a bra that is pulled across you breast. But if you are smaller I could see how it could be easier, and if you have a very loose/stretchy.

The nursing bra truly depends on your body type. Those of us with really large breasts can’t physically manage without a bra that clips down 🥴 the few times I’ve tried a normal bra or sports bra it didn’t work at all and was super frustrating to try and nurse with.

Im laughing at the comment about bras being comfy. I am a DD-EEand when those girls got full of milk or larger during pregnancies, I HAD to use a nursing bra. Maybe for girls with small boobs you can find comfy bras or you can just pull them up or down. But if you've large boobs, you will either cut off circulation/flow AND it hurts like a mother and its also hard to find comfy bras in general. I was able to find nursing bras that were way better. They also make cute ones now! So it helps when you already have a boob complex to treat yourself. Also, trying to picture me just trying to shove a boob back into a cup I have pulled up or down is straight comedy when one boob is like 4 handfuls of tissue. If you're leaking and using pads or milk savers too, a nursing bra was easier to just set one in and close it too (for larger boobs). So I hope that anyone watching isn't just using this as a guide for their own pregnancies, as everyone is different and every BODY is different. xoxo

Ok, my kid is grown so this comment might be pointless but maternity bras are awesome for big breasted women. Big boobs need more support. 🙂 Also, sleeping while pregnant was hard for me. So getting 2 maternity nightgowns which weren't tight & uncomfortable or too big & would get tangled under my blankets was a wonderful investment. And I wore those two nighties for years after. Lastly, I luv the BBHUGME pillow. I'm divorced and sleep on my side with my little dog at the foot of the bed and danget I'm gonna buy myself that big comfy pillow. It looks soooo comfy. I think it's easy to say that it's easier to just lift your shirt up to feed your baby instead of using nursing bras and tops. We need to keep in mind that we are all different shapes and sizes and not all Mummas are thin or bounce back quickly after having babies. Exposing our tummies is something alot of mums are not going to be comfortable with.

She said at the beginning of the video that all pregnancies and mom’s are different and she put out this disclaimer in the first few minutes of her video: “HUGE disclaimer, do not feel bad if you use any or all of the items that I happen to choose not to use” There was not one bit of judgment in anything she said, and it was constantly explained to be based on *her experience* and not at all voiced as: “because I think this is unhealthy, wrong, bad”. I find it so odd when people feel personally attacked so easily. Especially when someone like Sarah explained in this video (plainly and clearly) that the main reasons for her choices were to save money, space in her house and time. She has a whole album of videos on minimalism…which is what this video topic was on as well. Not one time did she say “those of you who wear maternity clothes are wrong, fat, unhealthy, and unfit”…that’s what you heard based upon your own insecurity. Your assumptions were not based upon anything she said.

Thank you for this. I know she can only speak from her perspective but as an overweight pregnant mom on the verge of being plus size, it’s very disheartening to feel like yet again, the world is MADE for skinny people and like they can be naturally more minimalist, have an easy time bouncing back after baby and don’t retain weight. I know that’s a very very vague, general statement but that’s just how it feels a lot of the time.

I did buy nursing bras for nursing because I’m a 30G when nursing and there isn’t a comfy bra on the planet that would work other than a nursing bra at that size. Tru and co for large cups. Its the best! Get a small.or xs if you want it tight. Im a 30E and its actually tight enough around the ribs to support and gives good shape. It will be very tight at first but it loosens after a couple of wears. I have both sizes and both are good depending on how tight I want it. I hope you try it. I have no affiliation with the company, I just finally feel comfy and supported and not spilling.

Nursing bras are super helpful for us ladies who have larger boobs even though I can still pull my nursing bra down without undoing the latch its annoying because it tends to want to slip up so a being able to unlatch is super helpful 🙈

I love your recommendations and I'm the same as far as minimalism in pregnancy! Pregnant with my fifth right now! I still use a nursing bra because I'm prone to mastitis during my postpartum period and I find it helps me avoid pinching/causing plugged ducts. I love that you can go without it though!!

I really enjoy watching your channel. I understand you are minimalist & I super appreciate it. People are only asking what you are using, because this is your 4th pregnancy. Its easy for you to help your viewers weed out unnecessary items- especially first time moms. I am sorry you find it annoying, but people look up to you & value your opinion. Its really an honor really. Thank you for your recommendations & God bless.

Other alternatives for antacids like Tums are either tonic water or alternatively baking soda or bread soda, mix a level teaspoon in water and knock it back, it's really really salty and strong but it works in under 30 seconds. Good for heartburn and also if you get a lot of lactic acid cramps.

Having some sort of spanks type thing for your stomach post partum helped me so much. Your abdomen feels so weak after having a baby amen having support helped with back pain and posture in general. I highly recommend using some kindness of support garment.

Tommy John Undies and Bra's are sooooo comfortable! I never used a nursing bra for any of my 5 children, my youngest is 19 so I think that decision didn't hurt them. We didn't have those great pregnancy pillows that they make now, I used a body pillow. I couldn't sleep without it, i either propped my belly on my hubby's back , or on that pillow.

The pregnancy app was a good thing for me with my first, there were forums on there where I can communicate with first time moms and just have like a support group (kinda). As for the nursing bras I never found one in my size because my boobs are just weird in between sizes so I used a nursing tank which was a lifesaver for me, I literally lived in those things.

Hey Sarah! Loved your video! i did want to point out something you mentioned about fragrance. Some fragrances are formulated to be hypoallergenic & safe to use, I know it can be unsettling especially when pregnant to use things that you are uncomfortable with, and I definitely respect that! I wanted to put it out there though for everyone, that not all fragrances are toxic & that it does depend on the formulation of the product you are using. I definitely encourage doing some research from different sources to verify!

(24 weeks with #1) Man, I couldn’t do the pregnancy pillow. It was a C shaped pillow but it was nooooot comfortable. Maybe it’s something else going on with my hips but having something that big between my legs made my hips hurt at night. It was also not comfortable for my head. A regular pillow for between my legs and under my belly is 👌🏽 right now because the round ligament pain is REAL. I don’t really have pregnancy specific items either besides a non fragrance belly cream, prenatals, and some clothes. I feel like a lot of things I normally use work fine, not to mention this mama is on a budget... I loved the perspectives in this video though! Helped me give a second thought to things I’ve thought about getting!

I didn’t understand the intention here. I watch you regularly and respect your videos. But with this one, I thought your attitude with the underwear was contradictory to your previous comments saying you didn’t want to offend anyone. Then why harp on the bras and calling underwear “granny panties” and calling it a downgrade? I typically don’t comment but this felt off to me.

I think she meant she feels less sexy in those and prefers to feel the same way as pre bump. I am sure she didn't mean any harm like cmon we all like to make fun of things sometimes, she did not call anyone a "granny" who wears it, only she gave a "nickname" to those particular ones:)

This entire video felt like she was talking down to people who used these things. Poking fun and laughing at certain things wasn’t needed. If she would have just made a video saying what items she didn’t use that would have been fine but she made it seem like women who do these products are insane or beneath her.

I see where you're coming from with the sass and attitude in this video, and I think Sarah is very much aware that she can be over opinionated and come off bratty. Nursing bras are so much more comfortable for me, I think because I normally wear very structured bras so they would not be easy to nurse in at all. Also I didn't want to ruin them with leaks or stains.
