My tip for burial chambers is to make the Stagbreaker. The thing is op for clearing rooms for multiple enemies

Great video. You don't need a big scaffolding with roof to cover your workbench like shown at 4:52 - a single well-placed wall/roof combo works. Some additional tips: -don't feel obligated to use the spear - I found it kinda crappy. The flint axe or even the club is perfectly fine. -in the early game sneaking up and stabbing deer is your best bet if you don't have a bow. The first bow is quite lousy, so if you don't like how it aims-> sneaky sneaky, stabby stabby -don't forget to claim your bed once you make your first base... -if you place a workbench/buildings in hostile biomes, prepare to be raided

some friends tried to get me to play this game on release, but it was very overwhelming and they did a lot of stuff for me so i was just confused the whole time and didnt enjoy it. decided to give it another try in a solo game and this video was perfect for helping me figure it out! i spent a whole 2 weeks in game just setting up my base camp and gathering good food supplies before doing any exploring and i've spent like 6 hours straight playing now. doing it at my own pace definitely makes it a lot more enjoyable ! thanks for the tips

One good beginner tip is there are sticks and stones you can pick up right at the spawn point. So when you get control of your character, don't run off right away. Just look around the stones, and you should have enough wood and stone for an axe and hammer.

Nice guide man. As a solo player, I like to just hang around the meadows upgrading my bases and relaxing. It's the best :)

Blunt weapons like the club deal 50% more damage to skeletons so that is more recommended for them then the spear.

I've been playing this game for a bit now and I didn't know about adding your own map markers lol, you've saved me a ton of frustration just with that alone!

to add on to the point about deer trophies, keep gathering them even after you beat the first boss as they are a material in building a pretty powerful (albeit slow) weapon that is good for dealing with mobs of enemies in tight space, such as skeletons in the tombs

Only flint by rivers and sea in the MEADOWS, i just shifted base to the same isle as Haldor the merchant, and that isle is mostly dark forrest, swamp and plains, and i need 15 flint for my leather rack upgrade, i cant find any flint anywhere but the meadows, which is right next to the plains T_T

fight trolls in the forest, even if targeting the troll will be a bit harder, a nearby group of trees will help you out to keep good fighting distance even if you're out of stamina. sometimes trolls even get stucked and you can safely shoot your arrows.

I was playing tonight and all of a sudden I see the message that says “the forest is moving” or something like that. I didn’t know what it meant. Well I got attacked and killed. It was ok tho I didn’t lose anything.

If you make a spear or knife it’s easy to sneak up on a deer and backstab it. Even from the beginning it’s almost always a one hit kill. Easy way to get around needing a bow if you are struggling to find boars for leather.

My tip is if ur going into dungeon in the early stage clubs are your friends vs boney bois

A really good starting seed is "BeastWars" the respawn rate for animals less then a min once you move away from there location then back, with deer pigs and necks very close to your starting spawn point...the best starting seed ive found so far...what do you think of this seed?

A wall is super important for your base, just as important as a trench. If enemies don’t see you past the wall, they won’t aggro and can be completely ignored.

I had to watch 10 videos before someone explained what the hell i was supposed to be doing other than chopping,killing , gathering and building!

You'll only need two back walls and two roof peaks to make the work bench repair and build tools.

Only JUST found out where to get Core Wood. I thought it was a bug or something why i couldn't craft the cultivator, i kept chopping fir trees in the black forest - not pine trees. Well there's 34 hours i could have progressed so much further, i've got t3 bronze everything armor and weapons, and t3 bow and full troll hide set. Sooooo much time wasteddd erughghhgh

You don't always need a chimney, smoke particles age and eventually vanish on their own so if your house has a long ceiling the smoke will never build up enough to fill the house. Check out the smoke guide made by someone else for more detailed information on smoke.

Its a good guide but you got 1 thing wrong .. the random event you get is not based on the biome you in. Its based on the boss you curently on ... lets say your in the swamp biome but your house is in the meadow.. you will get event when you will have swamp monster in the meadow for the event, other then that its a good guide for beginer :)

Dude I am so bad at these kinds of games. I really like them but I just don’t have the imagination to build cool “bases”. I always build a single room and cram everything inside of that. I don’t know how to make multiple floors and cool roofs. I have the exact same problem in Ark or subnautica or any game like this, it’s such a bummer.

Someone says - the simple bow is not precise. For me it is almost 100% precise. Except may be very steep uphill or downward slope, but it is question - how to aim, but not precision of weapon itself. More advanced bows have more damage and some special features, but precision is the same. To make precise shoot with bow, I enter crouth position and get cross marker, than combine cross marker with red marker of hunted creature, than draw the arrow at maximum while aiming and than shoot the arrow. If arrow is drawn a little, it will have little possible damage and usually fly wrong direction. And be wary of obstacles like bush, tree or rock before hunted creature. Spear is also good weapon, just need to aim higher than with bow. With spear you don't need to make arrows. If you hit with spear ground near you, you get attention of nearby creatures. Boars or necks will come to you and make hunting very easy.

Playing in VR, it's extremely immersive but also seems a lot harder. I never played the regular version despite owning it for over a year now i think... quite some time. I sat on it and now the VR mod is out it's amazing. Highly recommend, just be ready for a totally different experience.

One thing i would correct. In planes, you will get killed very fast no matter what gear you have :D

Most important tip about Valheim: dont buy it and dont play it. It is very, very, very easy to die, penalty for death is hideous, loss of skills can push you back WEEKS of playing, you respawn naked and somehow you gotta get your gear back from where you died, surrounded by mobs who killed you, and the game lags you for 4+ seconds during every 30min "world save". The game lags you for 4+ seconds, when sub-second reaction can mean life or death, and death is 2 weeks back. Consider this.

wrong about the events, you get multiple kind of events depending on the boss you killed, NOT your location... but nice try!, maybe study a bit before giving out wrong information.
