Something I noticed is that Agad's videos receive fewer likes than they're supposed to because he's not like other KZfaqrs who annoyingly beg for likes on their videos. But covering three candidate match analyses in a day? I would gladly ask for likes for his videos: Smash the like button, guys!

We will see what Fabi has to say about it. Also: Mybe you want to downgrade that to "Monsterlet." Ian and Ding are both just monsterlets. (An unsatisfactory and frustrating state of affairs if you ask me.)

@@franzlyonheart4362 I respectfully disagree. Magnus is not the be-all-end-all chess champion of all time, he's only been the champ for 10 consecutive years with 5 championship titles. To put it in perspective, Lasker reigned for 27 years with 6 titles, Kasparov with 15 years and 6 titles, Karpov with 16 yrs and 6 ttles, Botvinnik with 13 yrs and 5 titles, and finally Alekhine with 17 yrs and 4 titles. @@mohamedqandeel6594 exactly. A draw does NOt have probability 1/3rd. In fact, it isn't even that surprising that the first round is a bit drawish -- candidates still getting acquainted with the venue etc. Instead, he ought to have used the Elo system to calculate the most likely probabilities of the actual outcomes -- as a reminder the Elo system is based on statistical probability estimates, by its very design.

I think Nepo's style particularly suits the candidates, because in this tournament players tend to go for wins more than in other tournaments. When players go for wins against him he seems to be very good at exploiting any inaccuracies. It's when he comes up against more conservative play or long endgames when he is weaker, like he did against Magnus in their match.

As far as I can tell different openings seem to come into style at different times. This year in the candidates the ruy Lopez seems popular (with the white bishop on b5), while in other years and other tournaments different ideas are 'coming into vogue,' and everyone wants to try them out. I don't really know why this happens (or if it really happens at all - I could be seeing something that's not there). Maybe the engines are getting updated and revealing new ideas in certain openings that players then want to try out?

Why does Ian beat Alireza in every Candidates game lol

Nepo becomes too strong every time in the Candidates following average performances prior to it. Very interesting… 😂

Elo difference is fake. Nepo has the entire weight and resources of the Russian Chess Federation on his shoulders.

Alireza is a low elo farmer. He historically has poor performances against top players.

@@Yusuf_K7 "average" performance bc he doesnt want to leak his preps. Eyes are on the championship now that Magnus stepped out again, and even Elo doesnt matter as hes already penciled in

Nepo don't comfortable playing in slow manouvering a la magnissian game. He thrives in mess position, where he can rely on his intuition and made move fast. Most of his opponent did that. But alireza dont play that way. Alireza just want to attack. Pretty similar style but kinda different. Alireza wants attack and control. While Nepo just want a fire on board. Style clash, but nepo proven to be on top of it

How can Ali be your favoured one, the way he farmed himself into the candidates was dodgy, at best.

Don’t worry Agad, we are honoured to host the candidates this year but Toronto is the entire country’s favourite punching bag. They’re like the 3rd cousin in the family that you don’t want to spend time with but will always fight for. Welcome to Canadian time
