I've heard one of the biggest changes they made is that they widened the shell so they aren't such a narrow fit - I'm super interested to see your post-ride review because I avoided the original twister edges for that reason!

I’ve the same question. Rolling the RB Pro X at the moment and concerned these would be too narrow, whats your view?

They told me that at Inline Warehosue as well. You are now advised to buy your normal shoe size.

They do feel quite a bit wider. Only a few mm all around but still better. It's not as wide as the RB pro. But it's more form fitting and the plastic over the forefoot is thinner and kinda shapes to the foot a bit better

It's not true, they only made the liners thinner and hence wider. The mold is exactly the same

The liners in them are so good I'm using them in my PS skates and they fit there perfectly, solid work and design

Glad to see they added lace holes to the upper liner. My only issue with the Twister Edge is that the cuff buckle is too low, creating too much forward flex with too little support. Being able to lace up the upper liner would help considerably. And it's probably not going to happen, but I would love to see Rollerblade give it the UFR AP treatment and make a semi-aggressive version, or at least some kind of soul plate add-on. Old habits die hard and I can't help but stall on ledges when I'm out for a freestyle skate. Great review, as always.

The inside of the top strap release wasn't changed for the xt but in 2020 or 2021 edge. I prefer the original design

The foot sizers work well. I use them both for my Maxxum XT and Twister 110. I concur with you as far as black wheels. My stock white supreme wheels on my 4x 90 are holding up better than the stock black twister wheels for the 110. My 4x90 skates have a lot more miles.

That's great to hear about the footbed sizers! As for the wheels, I have never had good luck with black wheels. I heard it's the pigment that reduces the structural properties of the PU.

I found a pair of old stocked Twister Edge's on sale in my size. So I grabbed them. I haven't skate in 20 years probably, but I felt pretty comfortable on them after about 30 minutes. I overall like them, but I am having a huge problem with the liner. Along the sides of the tongue, you can feel/see a huge stiff seam. No matter how tight I tighten the skates, it is majorly chafing my leg. I have nice big scab from it. What am I doing wrong? Is there some way to soften this? I can't understand why they'd have the seam like this in the first place.

Do you have tall socks? Also how many hours have you skated them? New skates need about 8-15hrs min to break in.

@@ThirtyandRollin Hi! I wanted to skate in them a few more times before replying. I probably have about 9 hours into them. I'd go more, but I'm having to let the wound heal between each time. I do have tall socks, yes. Something that is kind of odd... whenever I put my right skate on, it kind of feels like my foot is being forced to lean in a tiny bit. But after 15 minutes or so, that feeling goes away. And this happens to be the side that I'm having the burning with. My left skate is all good.

Hello! Can you, please, tell me what is the difference between Rollerblade Twister Xt W (2022) and Rollerblade Twister Edge W (2021) inline skates. Do they differ only in the year of manufacture or something else? I want to take for riding around the city. The Twister Xt W is $133 more expensive. I want to understand whether it is worth overpaying or the difference in them is not so big?

For me the number one hangup with a lot of these "premium" skates is how awkward and "buckley" they are to put on. I just want to slip into skates, do a couple of quick adjustments and skate, I don't want to deal with all these mechanisms. Often I just remove the 45 degree buckle for a velcro one or just tighten the laces more.

If you get the correct shell size you don't need laces. The 45 and cuff strap is really quick to put on and take off.

Great video and review! These are such quality skates but unfortunately for me I started getting pain on both feet near my navicular bones. I know you can take a heat gun to the shell but I am not feeling great about needing to do that. Still a great skate though.

Don't be afraid of the heat gun. I have done it to every Twister I have owned. They feel soooooo good now!

I have a question can you put a different frame to hold 90 mm wheels. I dont like the 80 mm wheels. I like the boot.

Yep you can put nearly any frame you want on this boot.

Why is hydrogen you favorite wheel? I keep researching wheels, but I dont understand why a 85a hydrogen is better then other 85a materials. Please help me!! 😊

They are in the works with the Rollerblade Crossfire, which ia gonna be a carbon boot for slalom. They were hyping this carbon boot a while back, but I have not heard much of that lately.
