NHL refs just stepped in and robbed us of what would've been our first goalie scrap of the season, as Jordan Binnington has been absolutely eager to get in one. We'll cover that, while also breaking down the Colorado Avalanche and St Louis Blues game!

my fave goalie interaction was years ago - buffalo vs Dallas- everyone was fighting all over the ice- the two goalies end up skating towards each other along the boards, face off, throw down gloves... then shake hands. Hasek had roomed with Ed Belfour when he first came into NHL, so the two leaned against the boards, watched the fights, and caught up... good times.

Binnington is the definition of: "I can only do so much" and I'm surprised this isn't more common with goalies. They're the anchor of the team and the most likeable, you can only take so many shots aimed at you before you get fed up with your team for not doing their part
@davkatjenn

The goalie then needs to take it into the locker room and address those who are letting him down, not clothesline a player behind the net as they are skating by. Binnington is the definition of total wipeout.

We love the position because we love having the weight on our shoulders. That’s why I hate Binnington. Any goalie that wines about his team not doing enough is a little bitch. Yeah, they didn’t play their best, it’s no reason to act like you can’t give it your all or throw hissy fits, or huff and puff at your team mates. It’s always a sub par goalie that always complains about their teammates
@zedanide6984

@@DsChelI Yeah but when they're constantly in 1v1s or more it gets frustrating. People just work differently. Once you turn the puck over you need to immediately hustle back on defense instead of waiting at the center circle picking your nose because you leave your goalie out to dry

It’s gotta be crazy frustrating being a good goalie on a bad team, but it’s not an excuse to be a toxic teammate, or to throw temper tantrums and cheap shots. Most skaters fiercely defend their tendy, but Binnginton’s egotistical horseshit probably makes it hard to rally behind him

Binnington very much resembles Ron Hextall, Philadelphia Flyers goalie from the mid to late 80s. For those that aren't familiar with "Hexie" there are countless videos here on KZfaq. Say what you will about Hextall, dude was a straight savage. Not only was he an amazing goaltender, if you were an opposing player you did not want to end up on this guy's radar. He often left the cozy condfines of his crease to go after opposing players. The man was a whistling tea kettle always on the verge of boiling over. His physical play has always overshadowed his skill between the pipes, which is a shame because he holds records. Some remain unbroken to this day, and some he will own forever. He was the first goalie to score a goal, he would repeat this a couple more times during his career. He was a beast, if you're a Binnington fan go check out the OG, Ron Hextall

I love a villain. I root for the bad guys and the underdogs. Binnington is nothing but a big ego that can’t control his temper. I don’t think he would fair well in any fight. Whenever he stirs the pot his teammates come to protect him. Him throwing that water bottle at Kadri during that interview just showed his true character. If he was to get into a fight with any other goalie he would get smashed. This is why the refs and his teammates rescue him every single time. And yes I’m a diehard Avalanche fan but I’ll call a crybaby out on my favorite team or any other! #GoAvsGo

You won't call anybody out on your team. Your entire fan base painted Kadri as some saint/victim last year when he's been suspended multiple times for intentional hits to the head. Binnington tossed an EMPTY water bottle near Kadri after learning he was out for the rest of the playoffs. Out of frustration. If that showed Binnington's true character, what's the character of a guy who's been a known head hunter his whole career?
@evensteven1950
@evensteven1950 Жыл бұрын
@nvm that happens every time a kicker misses a field goal. It's an unfortunate reality of social media. But all I heard from avs fans last year was that Kadri was a changed man and he's just misunderstood and so on. Yet just the year prior he was suspended for the rest of playoffs for shouldering Faulk in the head. He's always been a dirty head hunter and this entire fan base tried to paint him as a good guy 💀🤡
