Any of the live in Kyiv official videos are spectacular. I personally like the entire Hellfest from Home streamed concert from '21. They are on stage with full production and effects going on with no audience but their energy is still at 100. I challenge you to find a bad Jinjer song. There will be some you like less than others, but I believe you won't dislike any of their catalog.

Welcome to our rabbit hole. In case, definite live version to go next are "Who's gonna be the one" (offical Napalm Records) and "Pit of Consciousness" Kiyv 2018. Next studio live is a one take vocal performance of "Judgement and Punishment". I propose the three as these display prominently Jinjers breadth of musical styles and of course the vocalist's role of being the lead instrument instead of a lead guitar, violin, saxophone...

Saw them this year in Wacken. It was wild^^ I also never saw before so many blue and yellow at a concert or festival. She had the greatest audience you could ever imagine but she did not lose too many words about the war. Well she could have talked an hour or more and we would be standing there, listening and cheering but i understand time is precious at Wacken.

the OMV for this song is amazing (simple, but elegant). this is around the time they really started pouring lots of money in to their music videos, and it only went up from there.

I always thought the same about that moment. It gets to the point where it's "okay I'm exhausted that's enough stage presence". She's known for her stage presence but no doubt it takes a toll. Some songs more than others. In fact the official live version of Sit Stay Roll Over is a good example. She's out of breath at the end of that one too. In Outlander Live at Loudfest she has the dreads. That's really good one too.

@glebivanov63239 ай бұрын
@@BraindeadBreakdownif you are looking for an order than you need get back to 2011-2012 😂 and check out so called "baby Jinjer". Scissors or Exposed As A Liar is a good start. A couple of weeks ago I found rare, almost unknown Jinjer live in Romania (2013 or 2014 I guess). It has one of the best quality of sound and video speaking about earlier Jinjer lives. It gives very good vision at the earlier Jinjer stuff and presence. I'll provide you the link when I'll find it. Not for reaction (it's a full concert, longer than hour), just for your interest.
@BraindeadBreakdown9 ай бұрын
I saw how far back i had to go and thought it may be a condensed "in order" series haha 😂 Just tell me the title and I will find it, YT is funny about links being posted sometimes!
@glebivanov63239 ай бұрын
@@BraindeadBreakdown well, you know, the main reason why this live is unknown is related to the title of the video. It's "jinjer" 😂 And without any description. I doubt it's possible to find it just by the title search. But you can try to search it by channel name "Ion Dragusanul". It doesn't have many videos, you could find there Jinjer's live easily. Most of the stuff you could hear in this live they don't perform nowadays. Actually "Who's Gonna Be The One" is the only one song they returned recently to their live setlists. Most of the other stuff is from their first album (with Tatiana) and even some songs from their previous material (they had male singer before Tatiana). I doubt it's possible to find on YT better live quality for part of this rare material.

They've been around since 2010. She designs her own clothes, and for every tour she changes her look. Back during the Crowd Factory tour (2013-14?) she dressed like a cheerleader. The gold jumpsuit was for the Macro tour (2019-20). For the current tour she's sporting black leather shorts and knee high boots. There's another band you should check out. They're produced by the same guy who produces for Jinjer, Max Morton. Their name is Ignea. They recently released a new video for their song, "Dunes".

Sit Stay Rollover is the last OMV or live (except Perennial OMV) where you can see Tatiana's dreadlocks. But before that song Tatiana had dreadlocks for many years, since the high school I guess. She was a total tomboy before she decided to change her presence. So if you are looking for dreadlocks - pick literally any Jinjer song, older than SSR OMV and you'll get it. They had many bangers before SSR. They were less progressive but more metalcorish that days. Less Opeth, Messhugah, Gojira and Alice In Chains vibes, more Lamb of God and Pantera. Although they always tend to prog more or less.
@BraindeadBreakdown9 ай бұрын
Thanks for the tip. I will clarify that I don't think the dreads will improve the music 😂 They are just badass!
@glebivanov63239 ай бұрын
@BraindeadBreakdown yeah but somehow dreads influenced their music 😂 Or vice versa. Anyway Jinjer music changed when Tati cut off her dreads. It became more matured and intricate. You'll probably face some oldschool Jinjer fans who don't approve that switch and still into the earlier "dreadlocked" Jinjer.
@ukrop555559 ай бұрын
It should be noted that, judging by her presentation of the song, it was the last song in this set (the meaning of the text also fits - goodbye, but not forever, but until the next possible meeting); that is, she had already growled and screamed a little, however less daring for such difficult vocals.

Great reaction to one of my favourite Jinjer songs! One that I actually prefer the live version to the studio version. There are bands like Nightwish where I actually prefer most of their songs live, especially since Floor Jansen became their lead singer back in 2013. For a good example, you should check out Nightwish-Ghost Love Score live from Wacken 2013. Might be a good introduction to symphonic metal if you aren't familiar with the genre. Stay safe 🤘 ✌️

I disagree with your live verses studio sound. I do agree that it is much easier to determine the level of talent a band has when hearing a live performance. For the record I have been a metal head since the mid 80's. This particular track sounds almost identical to the studio version. With songs like "Teacher, Teacher!" the vocal doubling effects on the studio track is better than the live version, IMHO.

I was stating my opinion in general, at the time of recording I had not heard the studio track so I had thing to compare it to. But with all of my favourite bands, I usually take my favourite live version over studio. Each to their own though 🙂

Not mentioning any names, but some bands are absolute garbage live. And you have to remember, the album version is how the band/artists intended it to sound, especially on a good system or headphones, you're not going to get that sound live. Don't get me wrong, being there live is a total different experience than sitting in your house. As for sound though, album version is WAY better, hands down.
