Every member of Jinjer is an exceptional musician. They are Roman on guitar, Vlad on drums, Eugene on bass and Tatiana on vocals. Formed in 2009 in the war torn region of Ukraine, Jinjer has been one if the hardest working bands over the last decade. The hard work really shows when they play live.

To check out something on par with Judgement & Punishment, but on stage, with amazing cleans as well as growls, On The Top live in Kiev is great.

The last song of their set which is even more impressive IMO.I think you would like Wallflower OMV the title song from their newly released album. They are currently wrapping up their USA tour and a grueling schedule.Tatiana is amazing at it over 10 years with thousands of set done and still going strong.Jinjer rarely gets blocked from what I understand so enjoy their content

They've done interviews with a couple react channels too. While in their case I'm sure they'd have broken through regardless, they know what made them blow up so quickly.

Also, they didn't intend to end on Perennial, but due to some tech issues with crosstalk on their monitors between the two stages (accidentally set to same frequency or didn't expect the range to be that great) ended on it. Perennial isn't the ideal finisher as it ends kinda abruptly.

I love Perennial! It's about Tatiana's struggling with seasonal depression. I don't have that but another type of depression, so this song hits me hard. With your comments about Otep, I really think you'll love all of Jinjer's work, but maybe a few especially: Teacher Teacher, I Speak Astronomy, Vortex and Wallflower (I'd say official video for those four). Thank you for bringing more of the fantastic music of Jinjer to more people! ❤🖤🤘

Shes never had a lesson in her life. She literally just heard otep, decided she wanted to scream like that, and just practiced and practice until she figured it out and its absolutely the cleanest and healthiest growl I've ever heard

even better, in the cd, that "just enjoying coma" is actually at least 2 or 3 seconds longer cause it keeps going when the growl starts...so tati can actually do that part even longer, but obviously live she cuts it to do the growl part and everytime everything drops and she starts groling, in this particular video...i ALWAYS..ALWAAAYS get shivers down my whole body

Tatina knows what she can do is a gift. She even said in a interview that she knows it will not last forever. You have to also know by now that she self taught herself to do the screams and fries. As far as her clean voice she started to learn to sing at age 8 when her parents put her in singing lessons.

So glad that you mentioned the boys (Roman, Vlad and Eugene). The compositions they create have become more technical and intricate with each new album. Tatiana would be a vocal beast no matter what but to have those three talents providing the musical backdrop makes the entire band so much more amazing than any one of them by themselves. They are incredibly tight live, which just blows my mind when you consider how complex their music has become since 2010.

Jinjer is a very unique band and there is nothing but talent from every single one of them. Live performances are super crisp and musically accurate - to the level of obsession. Tatiana always steals the stage as well she should, she is one of only a few that can do what she does and her tones in the highs and in the lows and the screams are just so pleasing to the ear. Their hard work, dedication and talent really are raising the bar on what a band should be. It's very exciting to the metal scene to have them pioneering a new path forward. Their catalogue is rather deep and some of the sounds just really catch you off guard - jazz, reggae, numetal, thrashcore, deathcore - you name it, they probably play it. Us fans just call them frickin awesome. Someone in another reaction said their genre is Jinjercore and I must agree that it is a fitting title. Either way, as an old metal-head starting in the early 80's, this band is exciting and leaves me in anticipation for their next masterpiece. 👍

The mic holding is more of a style choice. She mentioned in one of her interviews that she'd feel like an interviewer / moderator if she'd hold it at the actual handle. It's just more edgy that way. To sweeten the song a bit more: Lyrically it is about the seasonal process of plants "dying" during fall & winter, just to be "reborn" in spring. But it also has a double meaning, speaking about seasonal depression, which Tatiana is suffering from. During live shows like this she actually changes the lyrics slightly. Normally the lyrics repeat "no we're not dead" a second time, but here she said "no you're not dead" on the second one, directly addressing the crowd.

What she do with the mic, it's call Cupping. Holding one or two hands around the grid of a vocal microphone causes coloration of the frequency response. Besides the coloration, cupping also affects the directionality of the microphone and makes it more sensitive to acoustical feedback. It's kind of one of the controversy in the metal scene. Because some engineer's could have a hard time with growler/screamer that have less control; they would always have to make readjustment's. But we know for a fact that Tatiana have a lot of voice control!😜🤘😎

Thank you for your reaction, Casey. I have seen over 100 reactionvideos of Jinjer and this one of Perennial I think over 50 videos. Jinjer are not only doing those songs. They deliver them. And Perennial is pure f***ing art. The way Vlad, Eugene and Roman plays and Tati sings, all together making this song as kind of art. I can´t hold back my tears because of the beautifulness the outcome of this song. The end, like a crescendo, from "...coma" (10 seconds 10 levels clear voice in one breathe) and forward - when Tati shows with her body how she wants the crowd to see what she mean with her poetry. Bon Scott did the same in his era with Ac/Dc but thats another story...

Don't cup the mic! Ever. Also not for growling and screaming. It seriously narrows down the frequency range to the mids. It always sounds better without. Ask any engineer who records death metal. Metal singers do this for a long time because in difficult live situations it makes / CAN make the vocals more cut thru/easier to hear in the monitoring on stage (because, well, the mids), but in fact, it does not sound as good as uncupped.
