That's actually a pretty common trope in animated movies: random-ass, *non-dog* animals are made to act like dogs or other cute animals to appear more endearing to the kid audience. Well, it totally didn't work for this movie..but still.

Friendly reminder: The voice-actors agreed to do this. Someone walked up to them and said "Hey we're doing a creepy bee movie rip off, and we need creepy disturbing voices, like yours. You in?" and they agreed. That or slavery. Both are equally scary.

He said this was Spark plug entertainment right? If that's right, then it is forced. Because the guy who makes those has literally all the same voice actors in every one of his movies. And it's been that way since the 90s, seriously. It's pretty obvious that he's just got all of them chained up in his basement.

Actually a lot of these studios are located nearby or even down the street from professional studios. They would approach big voice actors during their lunch break and ask if they wanted to make a quick buck. Obviously most of them accept cause they need the extra money. That's why some of video brinquedo's horrible movies have like Sonic X and Anime VAs in their movies, these VAs most likely recorded those entire movies in one or two lunch breaks to earn a couple extra bucks

ikr these types of movies have the plot figured out, it's insanely good for some reason... _but it's just the plot though..._ the writing of the characters is so boring.. and the worldbuilding, not the best. if other factors are tweaked to become more reasonable and if they flesh out the environment of the story more, then it'll probably better lol forgot to mention the animation... yuck.

12:47 not to be that guy, but I'm pretty sure queen bees are chosen from when they hatch and are fed special jelly to make them queen bees. so technically queen bees are actually elected by the hive because bees function as a hive mind, the queen is really just there to make more bees, she doesn't actually rule them.
