@@LiamKillenShorts because of this machine I can ditch my DAW, for mixing I use the x32 producer, its ok to take on stage. And the octatrack gives me 8 sampling tracks that can be as complex or simple as u want. Its the heart of my setup. The midi tracks are also very, very handy for triggering scenes and snippets on the x32 so every song gets its own mixing/mastering on the spot. Would not be able to do what i do if it wasn't for the OT

As someone who just bought a MKII, I actually prefer the look of the OG, it kind of looks more artistic to me whereas the MKII is very nice but a bit more formal looking.

No one's arguing against that. Very few synths stay relevant / popular in the big picture though- let alone for over a decade.

That’s mostly because they were analog tho, whereas for a device like this, it’s mostly about workflow. And staying relevant in that regard is a bit trickier.

Im coming from a mpc background and have a hard time adjusting to only 8 Audiotracks on the dt besides loving it 😁 do you just use it with other gear for more sampling or ableton etc.?

@@LiamKillenShorts You want a sampler? There's a million better. You want a performance mixer? There are stand alone performance mixers for a fraction of the cost. It's not worth $1500 for 10+ year old outdated piece of gear with crappy digital FXs that takes forever to figure out how to do something simple on.

I don't receive all of my gear for free my guy. I just bought the Analog Rytm MK2, Digitakt II and SSL Big Six because it's gear that i've been eyeing and actually see use for in my set up.
