To be fair it folded to a single Interruption BEFORE battle of chaos. Now it has multiple outs to handtraps

@@stormanator01 yup it did sometimes though they still were more likely to see an out to your hand trap than you were to have a hand trap stop them even back then. couldnt veiler or imperm under 1 dfi, 3 d shifter, 3 book of moon, called by and couldnt ash if they saw the field spell (4 copies with terraforming) plus again the 1 called by. It's always been skewed in their favor with proper deckbuilding to play through or around hand trap more often than one would actually stop them but now that's even more true than ever. I can't remember the last time post BACH I've successfully hand trapped them now that simorgh also stops ash and the quickplay stops imperm/veiler before: 8 ways to stop your maximum 6 imperm/veiler + 5 ways to stop your 3 ash (6 in gold sarc build from before bach) post bach: 11 ways to stop your max 6 veiler/imperm + 8-9 ways to stop your ash. deck just can not be hand trapped most of the time mathematically edit: for clarifacation the veiler/imperm outs I mean all stop veiler specifically and ofc only book stopped imperm before but now theres also the quickplay for that

Do you know roughly how much this deck costs? (£)

for the non-budget one i would assume around 500$ because pot of prosperity and raiza alone are like 350$, budget one 170$ maybe? dk pot of extravagance but shouldnt be too much

Yes you can, ash is a "when" effect it can only activate immediately after its requirement is met and as the turn play you have priority so you can put perfection after robina so perfection's effect is the only one that can be responded to with a "when" effect

In the OCG rules the Simorgh is not allowed to chain block because it is not a "public" card, and most all online simulators follow the OCG rules. In the TCG, you have priority to activate any trigger effects before passing the chain to your opponent, whether the cards are known or not. The same interaction happens with Noctovision Dragon

My bad about ancestry. I was thinking that you had to use two winds, but only Winds is bypassed through the field spell, Which means you do not have to rely on eaglen, toccan or perfection all the time

@@rez3r092 I feel like most flunder plays will acknowledge raiza as the most optimal card to play for what it does but flunder is such a budget deck without it and its a good budget deck at that which is what most budget player really need. I'd definitely say if you can afford raiza go for it but if you can't simorgh is a ok replacement :)

@@rez3r092 flunder eglen is a wind and so is simorgh bird of perfection (when it's on field) also btw so it's still easy to get out if you don't have access to the spells

I don't know about a 1:1 swap, but Dark Simorgh is great because Eglen can search it and it's a back row lock with Anti-Spell. Plus it's a lot cheaper than Mega Raiza

Ancestry isn’t a good option at all and Apex is an Omni negate. Dark Simorgh or Snowl aren’t bad choices.

the hard truth is that Raiza is irreplaceable in this deck unfortunately for budget players I would just recommend playing a different deck at that point. If swapping decks is not an option then ancestry is probably the best fill in for raiza but make sure you still play elborz cause all of the little birds are not wind and ancestry requires wind only tributes.

@@anotheryugiohplayer946 Instead of passing on the deck I'd suggest trading up to Mega Raiza. Admittedly it is a gamble buying sealed products, but for me, I've pulled 2 starlight rares and made connections trading for a lot of good stuff

There are plenty of videos on KZfaq to watch on the subject when searched.

Infinite Impermanence/Effect Veiler on one of the birds (go for Eglen when you can), Droll & Lock Bird, Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring, etc. Basically if you can stop the extra summon effects, you shut them down. To a lesser extent you can also use Artifact Lancea which will prevent Floowandereeze & Stri from using its banish effect.

The card can be very powerful but it is also situational. Hard drawing Dreaming Town is alright because it can at least set up a follow up play on the opponent's turn if you get handtrapped. It also just provides a huge amount of disruption on its own by getting you to Raiza or Avian while flipping the board and is always the go-to card you want to search with Empen. If you were to go for the counter and your Empen gets Raigeki'd or something, Dreaming Town would have gotten you back to a floodgate/interruption, whereas the counter will be useless unless you have Map up and can trigger it successfully. The deck already has the tools that the counter trap provides in putting up Barrier Statue to cripple combo decks. Ultimately, the card's effect is crazy but it just won't come up as often as Dreaming Town and will be another brick to draw, especially going second.

@@rex2g4 I am not trying to be argumentative or domineering. I am used to people saying that as a way to imply that deck is not really threatening. I only said that as a reminder that just because you beat a deck does not mean that you are automatically immune to it, just in case the person may get too confident. I was thinking that maybe you said knowledge is powerful thing to either imply that knowledge can give you an advantage, whether it be the lack of knowledge of flunder or the lack of knowledge on the side of the people who played against the cyber deck. But i do not assume to know for sure. The original poster was probably just happy for the win, It is all good either way. We all make whatever point we wish.

ive tried the crossout package before advent adventure was released and it was super bricky. I agree droll is pain but the field spell can mitigate it a bit by adding from banish still but you have to open with map which is not guaranteed. Im on the fence with simorgs but crossout feels bad half of the time

Crossout is also good against lancea.

Macro cosmos or dimension fissure beat droll as well.

Activate Cosmic Cyclone or any other meta backrow hate… anyways.
