For those who don’t know who she’s playing in the play: Tallulah Brockman Bankhead (January 31, 1902 - December 12, 1968) was an American actress of the stage and screen. Bankhead was known for her husky voice, outrageous personality, and devastating wit.

I just found this. I absolutely cannot get enough. The respect, appreciation, and dedication that these pieces of art are treated with is calming and entertaining as well as educational. Thank you for getting me through the quarantine!! I have so much respect for what you do.

How is it that these outfits always fit the person trying them on perfectly? Every single video the outfit fits perfectly.

Because the staff act as personal shoppers who are curating their inventory. BTW: I used to live a block from that shop. It's one of the premium vintage shops on a street full of upper to premium vintage.

I saw Diane twice in Los Angeles when I was living there and it was around the same time, once on the street when she was greeting somebody lovingly at the SAG office and then I saw her come in at Whole Foods pushing her cart at the door. She caught my eye because she’s very tall and her looks were striking. I hope to see more of her talent in movies. She sort of looks like Tilda Swinton‘s older sister

I'm afraid it's probably a case of, "If you have to ask about the price, you can't afford this". 😔

At 1:30 it shows the price in the lower left hand corner. $480. Not really that expensive.

@21anusha5 жыл бұрын
Umm. Doris said the only thing she could afford in high school was vintage ? .. i dont get it . .or was it something else .. if it's so expensive . 😐
@MrKrayola135 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure shes referring to thrift stores. And you need to remember her age, she had access to things we wouldn't now a days at a super cheap price.

@Mara L True, I was in a thrift store once that was actually trying to cheat me by saying some dresses were on clearance and some were not though they were all labeled to be sold as clearance. I was only going to buy the clearance ones and the cashier girl would hold each dress up to herself to see how it looked on her before telling me if it was a clearance dress, it was a ridiculous and aggravating sight! 🙄 BUT, the joke was a bit on her. The dress she didnt want and sold me for a $1 turned out to be a vintage NY designer gown worth hundreds of dollars! 😂 (At the time I didn't know that, I just loved the dress)
@AmandaKayHowell4 жыл бұрын
@Mara L Yes, they do! The ones in my area label the clothes with a color and have sales on certain colors to clearance out what they can't sell. I know three separate stores who do this.
@AmandaKayHowell4 жыл бұрын
@Mara L They disputed it alright, they just simply say, yeah thats the right color tag but no I'm not going to let you buy it at the discount, it's too nice of a dress... lol, it wasn't worth suing them over it! And yes, this is the way they clearance items out. BUT, what doesn’t make sence is what is your problem? What are you saying? I'm crazy and it didn't happen or that I'm simply making this up? What would be the point and why argue with me about it? I was just sharing an experience I had with a thrift store that was dumb and practiced bad business... sorry you don't agree with me on what happened but I was there and you were not. 😜

@Htotha Hizzie Well she is not a star. Just a jobbing actor. I have friends and relatives who work on large productions, I doubt they would know her either.
@TracyMarie715 жыл бұрын
Really?! She’s a theater actress not a movie star. Usually most people have no idea who’s in the theaters performing.

Do you even know anything about Tallulah? Your ignorance and prejudice is striking! That is exactly what Tallulah was like and either you have never seen an actor prepare for a role or you are yourself quite delusional. I wouldn't want you to sell me anything!

The dress was nice but the ''star'' was a disappointment . She also took her god daughter shopping there for a prom dress. They say she has great fashion sence more like she has deep pockets. They sold one used dress for 3500 dollars.
