You can definitely hear it. It's a geared motor, so it sounds more mechanical than the brushless ones.

I'm trying to go slower but still have faster as an option. Hear me out. Most of the time I ride in Eco mode (19mph limited) but my top speed currently is 28mph with the current 36V 1200W motor. Even on roads where the top speed is 25mph people always try to pass me/forcefully overtake with their cars and many are inattentive, so having that extra oomph to clear out when one of these idiots gets too close would be nice. Stopping is a lot more difficult than flooring it sometimes; that's something I learned when I daily'd my '07 FZ6. The only ticket I ever got on a motorbike in my 7 years of riding I fought (and won) on that premise. In that instance, I was faced with an emergency braking situation with the driver ahead of me, the driver behind me was texting, she barely avoided rear-ending the car ahead of me, so had I stayed there she would have surely occupied the same space; I instead floored it and evaded a possible collision, and all the cop heard and saw from his speed trap vantage point behind a sign was the rev note and me clearing in front and gradually decelerating back to the speed limit. I told the judge I'd do it again, too, if I had to, because ultimately my choices that day were geared toward the safety of myself and others on the roadway. So she wiped the ticket from my record (I'm 32, been driving since 15 and still have 0 speeding tickets on my record).

disagree. Some of us live in rural places where everything is pretty far away. I used to commute to and from work 10 miles each way so this would be ideal with some juice left over to go to the store.

@@painexotic3757 that’s great but electric kick scooters aren’t exactly designed for the country. They’re designed to get around cities. I’m happy if it will work for you but you are not who they have in mind when they design this stuff. I lived in the country and I never would have been able to use one of these to get around. The roads weren’t wide enough or smooth enough for a vehicle like this with 3” wheels where I lived.

@@craigcampbell1843 If you live on the outskirts of a mid-sized city, it's pretty ideal since the roads are paved but everything is still pretty far away. That's what I meant by 'rural'.

@@painexotic3757 be CAREFUL. I’m picturing the outskirts of Fresno/Clovis where the Inja and I live. People get killed on bicycles on those roads every month because motorists are going 50-60 mph and aren’t paying attention or expecting anyone to be next to them. People get on those long straight roads and think it’s time to catch up on their text messages. It’s very dangerous.

@@craigcampbell1843 I Agree. Most people are pretty oblivious to bikers since they can barely be heard, unlike a motorcycle. I've dealt with drivers not paying a attention and nearly hitting me several times. It's all about being aware of your environment and wearing protective gear. For example, at night, I use 4 light (2 headlights, 1 backlight, 1 light on my helment on the back) and have reflective stickers all over my bicycle. It's impossible to not see me.
