I used to believe in giving people second chances. I hired a dude who had a bad reputation around town. The trouble started one day when he decided he was going to appoint himself the foreman of a job we were working on, even though he had no idea on how to use the equipment and he also wanted me to do the task that I assigned to him. When that did not go well, he told me he quit and wanted me to drive him back to town and also stop at the bank to pay him. I ended up dropping him off at a bus stop a few blocks away. About six months later I heard that he pulled a knife on his parents because they would not give him money. He ended up in prison for that.

Very true, Stan. Every one of us is fighting our own battle. It’s why I do what I do, for fun. It’s an escape from everyday life and struggles albeit a very temporary escape. I had a guy from Mexico in the 18th St gang who had fled (don't know why) from California to Texas. Really nice guy. The only person I ever knew who always told me the truth. We were good friends. Scary moment when we argued about something and he came at me with a sledgehammer. Nothing I could do except stand my ground. He saw that and stopped and dropped the sledgehammer. Kinda weird. Gang member on the run. Most honest guy I ever met. Came at me with a sledgehammer. Good friend. Life is weird.

Good morning, Stan! OMGOSH! That's how I made my kids! Too much!🤣 The only problem I have with grinding stumps is the sink holes that appear a few years later, when the stump amd roots that are left behind and buried, rot away. I've had to dig up sod, fill the holes with soil, tamp, add more soil and reinstall the sod, only to repeat the process some years later. Stump grinders certainly have their place, but now if I have trees removed, I dig up the stumps. Thanks for another great video. Have an awesome day. God bless.

Dude wasn’t scary, but he was a character. And a great teacher. Jack was a hardened alcoholic. He’d put back a fifth of schnapps every night. He used to claim he was related to the guy that invented the maxon lift gate that box trucks use, one thanksgiving he went on a bender and showed up to work the following Monday visibly shaking. Another time, he was driving one of the trucks and clipped the mirror on a parked car. Dude was a trip, but at least he was laid back. I knew him 15 years ago, given the shape he was in the last time I saw him I’d be shocked if he was still alive today, but I’ll never forget that crazy geezer

I had an employer who was scary, always drunk and he actually drove his own skid steer into a pond not just once, but twice. He also wanted me to fill up his RED jerry cans with DIESEL, I quit soon after.
@brandon1805425 күн бұрын
The first part of your story was convincing. Frankly there’s nothing reckless or dangerous about putting a different kind of fuel in a jerry can other than the fuel its color signifies that it was designated for. Most competent people could smell the fuel and know the difference.
@sociopathmercenary25 күн бұрын
@@brandon18054I'd be willing to say that most people don't sniff the gas before putting it in their machine. That's more of a recreational activity. 😂

I was laughed at as kid and a teen working 3 jobs and runnig a small setup of my own inwhich ive employed around 4 others as independent contract workers with there own employees and i did what made me happy! People still laughed at me but whos laughing now!😂 because i had no EXSPENSE labor laws paychecks insurance in volved and sub, out the work was on them . I asked for hire to provide a service, not as employees! Big difference .and had my hands in alot of trades . Paid my taxes for myself.! Everything else is all independent workers just a service not employee.

Worked with lots of those type of guys over the years , retired laborer in construction. The thing that makes them scary is they have no problem doing dumb stuff and the effect it has like going to prison where a normal person doesn’t think like that because they don’t wanna go to prison , imho . Any man is capable of extreme evil I think just look when you get drafted into the army during war times, enough said.

Stan every contractor has had an employee like that if you're in the business long enough. Sometimes, you don't want to know their past or what they do on their own time. As for the stump grinder, tell Zach next time to work from the front of the stump grind to depth back grinder up an inch or so then grind to depth again repeat many time's

First time I took my son fox hunting one night I told hiim. Now you want to be quiet and don’t want to move when one comes in. So one comes in and stops. I tapped him and whispered. You see him? He shook his head no. I said over there. Still didn’t see. Then the lit up eyes disappeared. He never saw him. I told him you should’ve leaned over so you can see around the tree. In my boy said well dad you told me not to move. I said you’re right my son. Guess we gotta come up with a new protocol lol
