Күн бұрынJoin us as we experience our first Filipino festival of the year in the Philippines as a British couple. Today we are in Czar's home province of Kalibo, Aklan for Ati-Atihan 2024. Known as the mother of all festivals in the Philippines. In this video we'll show you our first impressions of Ati-Atihan & filipino festivals in 2024. We started by getting AtiAtihan T-shirts before heading to watch the Higantes Parade where all the barangays & municipalities of Aklan parade with endless drummers, HUGE statues and the sadsad support. We then check out Kalibo's main plaza where we were hit by the enormous rumble of countless drumming. The next day we went to the street party at Kalibo main plaza and were instantly greeted with smiles, alcohol and face paint. We could feel the vibrations of of all there drums in our chest! Ati-Atihan 2024 was busier and CRAZIER than ever! It was amazing to fully immerse ourselves in the culture of the Filipino festivals & Aklanons.

Hi, thanks for the great video. I would love to see the 2025 Festival, but I can't figure out which are the best days to see (Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday?). I understand that on the first day you arrive in Kalibo in the morning, see the festival in the afternoon and the whole following day, and fly out on the morning of the third day? Or can one day be enough? (there are too many things to see in the Philippines)

I was there. It was awesome. The atmosphere was great, the drums were hypnotic, the people friendly, drinks flowing freely. It was the best festival.

That's what ati-atihan is chaotic.Everyone can dance enjoy like no other haha.The mother of all Philippine festival.Celebrated 800+ years ago before the Spanish coloniez the archipelago.

Are you planning to attend Dinagyang too? Well PH have 40k festivals all year round in all aspect and province Febuary is Panagbenga of Baguio, guys festivals here never stops, enjoy!

SINGKAMAS is rich in Potassium and dietary fiber. You can eat a lot of it without any health worries. Just eat it Raw without vinegar or spices or salt .

Next Year, FINISH Ati-atihan til Sunday. You're just experiencing 10% of it for not witnessing the Saturday Evening to Sunday. You already experienced Sinulog and you're not yet Fully Experienced Ati-atihan.
