I'm sorry but that is a little bit ludicrous. It's more than likely Prismo shooting it to Ice King. He can already watch other dimensions like it's tv. And he isn't against breaking the rules to create the right outcome. Also he is in the trailer talking about things going wrong. It just sounds real far fetched to me that a little girl is blasting a beam of info into IK across time or space or something. Sounds more like a Prismo thing.

i got a plot hole for the girl beaming the story into ice kings head, in the past. if she beamed "new stories" to him in the past wouldnt they just be the same stories he already wrote since she would either have to make new ones or send him the ones he wrote.

When I seen that the multiverse of Adventure Time was involved from what we had seen in the trailer for Fionna and Cake I instantly thought of the episode "Fionna and Cake and Fionna" from Adventure Time since it showed that Fionna and Cake's reality did exist from the stories that were put into Ice King's head from the red beam.

for the pieces you had at the time, this is a very solid theory 8:15 onwards after episode 4 hits different

I think maybe Simon need to accept his other self as ice king and I think Simon will grow to love Fionna and Cake in the end as best friends.

Didn't finn get visions of farm world finn like from an alternate reality similar to the ice king? And wouldn't that be the same to hot dog princess in the trailer saying she had dreams of being a hot dog? What if it's the same concept of the ice king having visions from other dimensions similar to those two other instances

I feel like the girl somehow some way makes a wish with prismo to bring fionna and cake to life which could make a new reality. what if the red dude is actually the BOSS of prismo which is a thing that only got mentioned once (i mean, he IS wearing a tie.) and he has to undo the wish for some reason.

I don't know why, but the beams kind of remind me of the Graybels. And I'm not sure about the little girl beaming the story's from the future or whatever, but mabye she did help making Fiona and cake real in her universe.

What? Another episode I had never seen before! Or at least, had no memory of. I swear Adventure time is such an incredible show for you can still discover straight up gold like that so many years after it ended. It is so packed with lore and details I love it

this theory very well explains what's going on if you open the frame up a little wider from a viewers perspective. For YEARS we as fans have wnated FIonna and cake to be real and the amount of fanart, fanfare, and love that the original show received essentially did manifest us a real fionna and cake. i think it would be great if that story and theme are what this show is about. Miles Morales is a great example of being manifested from fan love to the big screen.

It's a great theory, but I don't quite see the little girl being behind the red beam. It either is a tv show (maybe BMO found a way to communicate with Y5 and the Drift and told them Finn and Jake stories and they made a tv show based on BMOs unreliable narration), has something to do with Mars, or has something to do with Golb. I don't think we've seen enough information in the new trailer to really make a connection with the F and C tape episode Another slightly off topic thought I had: did Golb create the Nightosphere and give Hunson Abadeer that medallion? We know the Lich was the last scholar of Golb, but that implies there were more, and if anybody was one, it would be Hunson.

Uh no! I think the red beam is Fionna and Cake's memories. The sypnosis did state that they will wake up in an alternate nonmagic world with anmesia. The real Prince Gumball might have built a machine that could contain their memories and after they were sent away, he started beaming their memories in hopes of finding them but instead ice king (now Simon) has been getting them.

Short question, any connection between the people involved with these stories and Philip K. Dick? Because a red (actually reddish-pink) beam shooting stories (well, actually information and ideas) into the head of the protagonist is quite central to the plot of VALIS, one of his last books. Which actually would also tie in with some of the other ideas in Adventure Time dealing with issues quite close to Neoplatonism and "Gnosticism" (yes, I also subscribe to "Let's talk religion", err). You can read about VALIS on wiki, as for reading it yourself, the plot is somewhat convulated, it's basically Dick chronicling an experience he had late in his life. My personal impression was here was a guy dealing with some kind of break of consensus reality due to a stroke, endogenous psychosis or just doing too much amphetamine and/or cannabis[1], but still being lucid enough to realize he might just be tripping his ass off, while also entertaining the idea he was contacted by God himself. Also, one of the other characters is a fictionalized version of Tim Powers, a friend of PKD at the time, the guy who wrote a story that later on became "Pirates of the Caribbian: On Stranger Tides". And it's usually packaged as a trilogy with "Transmigration of Timothy Archer", one of my favorite PKD stories. [1] He stopped doing Cannabis after the early chapters. Though he still tried to help people, especially his friends. His comment "He should have stayed with the pot." The book is also a quite unfavourable description of California in the 70s...
