How about pouring a 2cm wide cylinder of clear resin allow to cure and remove from its mold. Then use colored glass beads instead of stones. For the final pour. put the clear cylinder in the middle of the base so that light from the bottom will have a path to get into the middle of the skull and backlight the beads

Have you tried making one using glass marbles instead of the stones? The light would probably shine through those.

Wow, I really love this one!! if you wanted to have a light shine through more of the top, maybe you could add a layer of stones then do clear marbles, either those flat vase ones or round, to the middle by using tube, just stick it in empty, then pack the rocks on the outside edges around it. fill the tube with the vase beads then pull the tube out. I think that should work. Love your stuff!

I have not created anything yet. Would like to create a flat round disk to use as a coaster and "float" buttons in it like you do with stones. Do you recommend that I let the first layer dry completely and then add buttons (which will probably sink) and then add a second layer? Or do you recommend I do it in one step, as you do here? Thank you!
