Haitian food is delicious, underated and not easy to find in North America.
In episode 2, Chef Marc cooks fundamental representative Haitian dishes likes Griot (fried pork shoulder), Haitian legume (chayote stew), Sos Pwa (black bean sauce), Soup Joumou (pumpkin soup), pikliz (Pickled Cabbage), Bannan Peze (fried plaintain) and Diri Djon Djon (black mushroom Rice).
We then head to Montreal to Haitian grocery/food institution Marche Meli-Melo to get some more fundamental Haitian dishes. This is Part 2 of a 4 part Haiti series.

It's awesome, but too many people who can't cook it right have restaurants which are really disappointing!

I did not see the prestige or the passion fruit juice on the table. Whenever you invite guests over you need to complete the meal with either a glass of well chilled passion fruit juice if they don't drink alcohol if they do then the also ever refreshing cold prestige beer in my opinion would complete the meal. Some folks would ask for the Rhum Barbancourt so always have a coconut water in the fridge just in case that happens. Then your guests would never forget you for it.

Awesome tip Wil...love the passion fruit juice and I could see it pairing well with the dishes. We did drink the barbancourt though but could have mixed w coconut water.
