My niece suffers from Alopecia and I watched her cry over and over again. Because of this she would start cutting her self. I watched her go through all the treatments that didn’t work. And she wears wigs and they are so expensive. I pray my niece can get to get to this point. I cry for her. I’m going to have her watch this video.

I have Alopecia Areata for yrs. It took me a long time to stop wearing wigs. Now I am free and I don't have the care in the world. Go to work bald everywhere else bald. People tell me I look good and that smile they just love. I am 52yrs old and I rock a bald head.

I suffered from Alopecia a few years before I was diagnosed with Lupus. I had bald patchy spots all over my head. When a spot started growing back, another would bald spot would show up. It was a never ending saga trying to hide my spots. In the end I used spray paint for my hair to cover them up. It was not healthy for my hair. Gratefully my hair started growing back. Fast forward to today and my hair is full and beautiful. However I am loosing large (quarter size) clumps of hair everyday when I comb thorough it. I now have 40% growth to 60% loss. My prayer is that I can keep my curls for a long as possible. 🙏🏾💜💪🏾

Beautiful moment. I'm dealing with a similar experience but not as severe; as I didn't develop this until I became an adult. For black women it's deeeep because everyone knows they say your hair is your crown 👑. What does it mean if you have an inability to grow your own hair. Does it mean you don't have a crown 👑and then what does that mean. While the crown👑is symbolic it's still said to remind, uplift and empower us. So, when you're unable it takes a lot to process reconciling with that. You truly have to learn to love YOU outside of the social standards that we either govern or allow the influence of on our lives. Not to mention the psychological impact of it all. Thanks for another impactful segment and show. ✔🌹✨

Nikki is a strong courageous woman who should be held in the highest regard. Also with or without a wig (I prefer without), she is absolutely stunning. l mean DROP DEAD GORGEOUS and has the personality to match. So so beautiful 😍😍😍.

They are both gorgeous women. I too shaved my beautiful mid back Sister Locs, because of the bald spots which continued to appear on my scalp. I have received and still receive compliments from friends, acquaintances and strangers. It took some getting used to my new look, now I am no longer ashamed. I did however prey to God that I have a nicely shaped head.

I don’t have alopecia, but I do watch Nikki‘s videos on KZfaq. She’s an inspiration and is sooo gorgeous inside and out. Her and Olivia are so beautiful! Look how it is when one lady encourages another, and how it makes that other woman feel? I’m definitely all for boosting a confidence of a sister in need! Fixing each other’s crowns are so important. Ladies, remember you are fearfully and wonderfully made in God’s image, and you are most definitely beautiful to Him!!

It took me a min to watch this and I don’t know why I decided to do it at work with a million patients coming in seeing me with tears in my eyes 😢 Girl, Girl,…. Ggggggirllllllllllllll 😍😍😍😍I loved every minute of this segment. First off, Tam is my favorite. I have been planning to take a day off to be in her audience. I love her. Her style is unmatched. She’s hands down the best! Period. Now. I could relate to everyone when they say that you are truly an inspiration Nicki. You’re a star that shines so bright in my life. Never meant you, but I must say you gave me so much hope and comfort with this hair situation that I’m battling with and have been for some years now. I have Lupus over two decades ago my hair started falling out I did the same thing in trying to regrow my hair and watching it fall out again I bought so many wings I'm telling you that I had no idea how many I had bought Just to cover up my head so that no one would see the bald spots I got tired of the wigs so I shaved my head to see how others would react to seeing me bald I received hateful disrespectful unnecessary negative comments Most of those comments came from my Family Their comments made me go back to buying wigs Nearly two years after those comments I decided to go bald Because I realized that I was not happy and that I was living the way others wanted me to live Today I am Big Bald and Beautiful while loving me who I am regardless of what other may want me to be It is freeing it is healthy not only did I go bald I cut off those who were negative including Family I will love them from a distance So proud of these Ladies Do you be happy

She should of been bald on this day, every interview. More legit, more authentic, more real, The transition. The topic and a wig? No! I'm not insensitive, I deal with hair loss. She has the perfect head. She can pull it off. I have a small head, irregular. I can still make it do what it do as an artist though ❤️ 👑
