@@nickb9436 Seriously. I'm not one for hero worship or whatever, but seeing stars grovel to an agenda really does ruin their films. I'll never be able to stomach Mathew McConaughey because he was on the news holding up a cloth mask and telling everyone "just put on the damn mask!" Ugh. He said something like "I know y'all aren't afraid of a little bit of cloth. Just do it." Hey, Matthew. It's not that we were quivering in fear over a bit of cloth. It's that we knew they didn't stop viral transmission and the fact that masking healthy people just doesn't make any sense!

@@marywest6844 And referenced in Shawshank :) I've seen the mid-2000s movie. It was a fun watch but the concept of revenge, especially over such a long period of time, doesn't resonate as much with me. I just can't relate to those intense feelings of anger and desire for retribution. I guess that means I've had a pretty easy life but it is what it is. Still, maybe I need to read the book to really "get it".

Thank you very much mister Robbins. I'm a 30 y.o. Ukrainian that grew up on your movies. It may sound weird, but you're an authority figure in my life and in the life of my family. The last couple years were the worst years of my life. It's comforting to hear you say these things because not many other people that I used to look up to do. I was in the #CultOfCovid at the beginning, but something clicked in me one day. Let me explain. I was so scared, I refused to leave the house even when we were finally freed. (France). I would walk around with my big umbrella under my arm so it would stick straight out and force others to stay a mètre away. It was bad. I had spent the first 6 months of the pandemic on a small island, and we had Zéro cases. When I got back to France in August 2020, we were having many cases and whatnot. I was so scared. When my hubby told me one day that they don't wear masks at work, I was infuriated. We fought. Our relationship went to a real low. I didn't trust him. I have comorbidités and felt like he wanted me to get hurt. (Really went to my head). So stupid, and I'm sorry to hims.🙏🏻 Then, one day in November 2020, I was at the fruit and veggie market. An outdoors one, and I was standing next to these women. I had my umbrella. And I just don't know what on earth happened, but I, in my head, I was like *WHAT THE FK AM I DOING HERE*?! I was treating normal humans like their very existence could kill me. Which is BS. I felt really disgusted about myself and started researching. I had a hard time because I didn't want to be related to the "conspiracy crowd" but I decided to keep pushing through. I was lucky. It was a month before the 1st jab started. I went on to participate in massive rallies to protest the covidinsanity. And here I am. Proof that you can come out of the indoctrination. Edit to add. Ps. My entire family disowned me. Off the will and everything because I refused to be jabbed. It's been so painful. Be strong guys. 2nd edit. Adding that I was put in a covid prison for 2 weeks as my mum was dying. I live overseas. Then I 5 days before she died I had to fly back to France because they were mandating every single person to be jabbed to board a plane. I watched her die for 3 months and missed it by 5 days and her funeral. screw the pro c○\/!d freaks. I hate them. 😭

If your gut/intuition is telling you "this seems like a massive push of fear" or something along those lines then there's more than a problem. The way that the Western world has Sophisticated that Fear response in the masses is something completely different than living in other countries where the physical fear is right in front of you or around you. One of the men who gave us The Shawshank Redemption, the quintessential film on the hero's journey and the best movie ever according to the top 250 on IMDB, that is such an inspiration to persevere in the face of blatant brutal injustice to ultimately against all odds come out on top to countless, including me. That movie changed my life. And now speaking up in this way as one of the very few Hollywood 'stars' and having a prison program to liberate inmates. Big respect. Thank you, Tim.

But we must remember that Mr Robbins is living very comfortably as the priveledged elite of a corrupt and perverse industry that exploits vulnerable populations readily.

The reason you don’t hear more people in the entertainment industry speak up is because that industry is a tool of control, if they speak against it they don’t get to play anymore. Most entertainers want the money and fame more than their own self respect - it’s a Faustian bargain. All of the Hollywood elite gave Will Smith a standing ovation less than an hour after he smacked Chris Rock. They did that because they are all cowards who know Smith has clout in Hollywood and Rock doesn’t. It is foolish to put clowns like that on a pedestal.

Another very good conversation with Mr Robbins, that went off in an unexpected direction that only adds stature to the man. There's a lot on this channel about what's wrong with the world - and Russell's brand is important for highlighting all that in an accessible way - but this conversation was a nudge in the direction of how we as individuals can usefully respond to what's wrong in the world.

I saw Shawshank Redemption when I was in 2nd grade, and it became my favorite movie! 😅🤣 (I was told to cover my eyes at certain parts) An assignment we had in school, was to put a story we wrote into these blank books and illustrate them. In the back of the book was a page "About the Author," where we listed things about ourselves, I wanted to put down that "Shawshank Redemption" was my favorite movie. 🤣 I have loved Tim Robbins (and Morgan Freeman) ever since, I am 35 now! It makes me happy to hear Tim speak out, he is SO SPOT ON too!

The Shawshank Redemption is an excellent movie, yet there are scenes in it that may be too much for children, especially a child who is sensitive. Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman were amazing. Steven KIng is a horror writer, however his material on possible real life situations is where I believe he shines the most. The Green Mile is one good example, as well as Delores Claiborne. I could watch those movies several times.

A true legend both Tim and Morgan Freeman and director Frank Darabont. Frankly it deserves best picture Oscar and movie goers didn't give it a chance back in the day. I remember seeing it in cinema 3 decades ago thinking this is a true masterpiece. It lost best picture Oscar to Forrest Gump which was a box office smash but I think Shawshank was the better movie. I think if they released it a year earlier it would still lose to Schindler's List. Just strong competition in those couple years. But it deserves more recognition.

It was hard here in Australia to get straight answers. When I found places and people I could trust.... it was a great reveal, we, as a species, are being had. I have come to a place where this is the WMD situation of this generation.

I’m inspired to share as I read some of these comments. We’ve all have such different experiences during the pandemic. At the beginning, I smelled a rat, and my main fear was for two people in my life who were already struggling with their mental health, one being my father, who was in an assisted living facility, 5th floor. Lockdown came and for 5 months he was required to stay in his small room, a man who had battled schizophrenia for 40 plus years. One day he finally chose to end the suffering by jumping off his balcony. I often wonder how many stories like my dad’s. Crimes against humanity have been committed. I have worked through much grief and anger, still more to release, and writing this helps in that process. Please, let’s share our stories without fear of being labeled, criticized, shamed.

Life has been a whole experience for me too. Live and learn along the way. Condolences to you, for your loss of physical presence of your birth father. Some of us as children especially are exposed to such tragedy. I not discover this until an adult. My sister's husband nearly died at 16 yrs old, after drunk driver nearly killed him, but did kill his father, when attending to a job outside. The mother was left with 5 children to bring up. It is through resources and help from other, I reckon sure does help.

Whom Can We Trust If No One Is Trustworthy? One of my favorite quips from Mark Twain’s The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is when Tom is defined as “a glittering hero…the pet of the old, the envy of the young,” and there were “some that believed that he would be President, yet, if he escaped hanging.” With these few words, Twain captured the essence of leadership in our world. Those who get to the top are the fiercest, most determined, and most ruthless. Today, the latter quality has become so intense that we can no longer believe our leaders, and certainly not trust them to have our best interest in mind. I am not accusing any leader in particular, or even leaders as a whole. It is simply that in an egoistic world, where people vie to topple one another on their way to the top, the one at the top is clearly the one who trampled over and knocked down more people than anyone else. Concisely, to get to the top in an egoistic world you have to be the biggest egoist. So how do we know whom to trust? We don’t know and we cannot know. All we know is that we are in the dark. In a culture of unhinged selfishness, any conspiracy theory seems reasonable, while truth is nowhere to be found. When every person who says or writes something is trying to promote some hidden agenda, you have no way of knowing who is right, what really happened, or if anything happened at all. The only way to get some clarity in the news and goodwill from our leaders is to say “Enough!” to our current system and build something entirely independent. The guiding principle of such a system should be “information only,” no commentary. Commentary means that information has already been skewed. Information means saying only what happened, as much as possible, not why, and not who is to blame and who we should praise. Concurrently, we must begin a comprehensive process of self-teaching. We have to know not only what is happening, but why we skew and distort everything. In other words, we have to know about human nature and how it inherently presents matters according to its own subjective view, which caters to one’s own interest. To “clear” ourselves from that deformity, we must learn how to rise above our personal interest and develop an equally favorable attitude toward others. This is our only guarantee that our interpretation of things will be even and correct. Once we achieve such an attitude, we will discover that the bad things we see in our world reflect our own, internal wickedness. Our ill-will toward others creates a world where ill-will governs, and so the world is filled with wickedness and cruelty. Therefore, all we need in order to create positive leadership-and to generally eliminate ill-will from the world-is to generate goodwill within us. When we nurture goodwill toward others, we will fill the world with goodwill. As a result, the world will fill with kindness and compassion. By changing ourselves, we will create a world that is opposite from the world we have created through our desires to govern, patronize, and often destroy other people.
