It is often stated that nothing can exceed the speed of light; however, that is not true. In the past, astronomers used to assert that there are a greater number of stars in the universe compared to the grains of sand found on all the beaches on Earth. Nowadays, they claim that there is a larger quantity of planets similar to Earth in the universe than there are grains of sand on all the beaches on our planet.

Small teams of explorers, then larger teams of people with diverse specialties. Much later we’d bring larger populations. But if our planet was in serious danger then I’d imagine larger groups would be expedited.

You can look out into the cosmos in every direction and literally everything would kill us in seconds. Even "Earth 2.0" would kill anyone who tried to breathe the air or drink the water. I think the solution to the fermi paradox is that any life that evolves on a planet or moon cant get too far away from those conditions, which are impossible to fully, and comprehensively replicate. Let's fix this planet and get our population under control with education and birth control. Less exciting than star trek but its easily achievable. Now, having said all that, I love this guy's videos!

It would be impossible to reach that planet without having the hypothetical "warp drive" which moves space around you faster than the speed of light rather than moving you through space. If i'm not mistaken, this planet is 124 light years away, meaning even if we had light speed travel it would take 124 years to reach it.

Earth 2.0 doesn't exist. (because you would have to copy the entire solar system a second time) Those planets we saw are barely able to sustain life yet alone harboring life.

Lots of luck,it was a 1 in a Zillion fluke the Earth became the way it is now,that isn't even taking into consideration the microorganisms,bacteria and viruses another planet would have that we would have no immunity to. Finding another Earth would be a lot harder then Star Trek would lead you to believe.

You will never find another planet more suitable for earth based life forms than earth. That's a no brainer. We evolved here over hundreds of thousands of years and other species for millions of years, we evolved to the specific conditions of our habitat, no other habitat could suit us better. Appreciate the sub. I have lots of other videos you may enjoy better. I totally agree with your take as not finding another planet that’s better suited for humanity. That is probably true, but we don’t know for sure. So it’s worth looking. But the most likely scenario is we’ll encounter another planet that is “good enough” and we’ll have to adapt to it in a series of ways. But that doesn’t mean we couldn’t or wouldn’t live on another planet if we had the technology and urgency. Then, 100’s of thousands of years those humans on that planet could evolve to adhere to whatever planet they live on if its close enough to Earth. It’s not daft to study the universe and seek knowledge about our place within it. Looking for other habitable planets is a small piece to the larger effort. I believe whats daft is assuming Earth is the only one suited for us considering there are more planets than stars. But difference of opinion is perfectly fine 👍🏻
