I think people should understand that this guy is being studied by scientists and he is aware of how crazy his protocol is for the average human. Although an n=1 is not going to be anything significant to draw from, it could be an interesting case study as it’s very difficult to have an intervention human study long term with excellent compliance to a protocol. I appreciate his working with scientists etc.

The dude's a billionaire. He could finance real longevity research with larger cohorts instead of spending millions on himself. This would actually help towards real innovations that other people could use instead of focussing entirely on himself. He seems like a nice guy, but anyone having that kind of money has a huge societal cost and the idea that what he's doing is commendable misses the larger implications of what he's doing
@TheMrmi22

I'm afraid that any conclusions he ends up with will scientifically be negligable in the future but that he will instead wind up as an example used in psychology books in terms of the lengths that obsessive behaviour can lead to, as well other things we are unaware at this moment as he has just embarked on this journey. Guess time will tell.

Ehhhh, the whole "study" aspect of this is incredibly questionable when you consider who's doing it, who's funding it, which institution is doing it, and what the remainder of the scientific community says about the plausibility of the studies. Edit: I'd like to expand on this because I was a bit vague. The quality of the "studies" is a huge issue. I don't think they will be usable in any meaningful way other than to be compiled as a single case study. It will also be a pretty unhelpful case study because of all the things he's doing at once. The end result will not demonstrate that any of the things he does is effective because they were all being done at once. What was redundant? What had a detrimental effect? What had a positive effect? We don't know. We'll just know that doing the specific things he did leads to a specific outcome in this specific person. In addition, many of the things he does actually shouldn't be done simultaneously and can hinder or altogether cancel out eachothers effects. This makes any data even less useful. The "study" aspect is redundant because we can't glean anything useful from it.

Thank you for humanizing this man. I've seen his interviews in passing and have been pretty judgmental. He's actually a role model for us all in many ways with some pretty decent and free advice for those of us who don't own a clinic ourselves. Also, the fact that he made a joke about a vampire proves that he isn't a robot after all. Shame on me. He seems like a very intelligent, man dedicating his body to science prior to his death unlike those of us who wait until we no longer need our bodies prior to offering it up to the local medical school.

Despite his extremely expensive and extreme treatments, I like that Bryan presents some skincare and routines that are still doable and affordable for most people. I have been watching Bryan's journey these last 2 years, at first I wasn't sure, but Bryan and his team seem to be genuine in their time and efforts in putting out his own data, guidelines and summarizing evidence-based information to helping other people improve their biomarkers. I don't follow his Blueprint Protocol entirely, because I don't agree with taking that many supplements and don't have the time/money/lifestyle to keep up. I do already eat daily most of the foods in Byran's Green Giant recipe, and I already have simple DrDray-approved skincare routine : ]

I am 52, been into skin care since my teens. How my skin survived the days of Noxema and Seabreeze, I will never know, LOL. But that was the thing back then, cleaned with Noxema or Seabreeze and followed it with basic Oil of Olay. Sunbathed with Baby oil in the south 😳 (I know, I know). I sometimes feel skincare has become almost a fad or trend and complicated. I just desire good skin, that not only looks and feels healthy, but truly is healthy, from head to toe. I desire healthy 52 year old skin, not 20 year old looking skin. I embrace my fine lines and wrinkles and new gray hairs. My "favorite" thing to hear is "you look so young, your skin looks so good FOR YOUR AGE". (Let me pull out my walker, lol). My skin care routine is simple. I will admit, I do look young, but I have always looked young for my age. I think sometimes people forget about genetics. My dad is 82 but looks 62. NO lie. I am all for taking care of our skin, but skincare routines seem to have become so complicated, full of products and devices. Its almost confusing and overwhelming and concerning sometimes. I guess this is my long winded way of saying THANK YOU, for your transparency and science based information. I always come to your channel for honesty.❤

I honestly believe it all comes down to our genes. I use all the trendy creams/Spf/LED mask/IPL (you name it)and I don't see myself aging ANY better than people my age. While my mother-in-law, soon 77, she's never used any sun protection (we live in Spain) she swears by this one cream she's been using for 15 years (believe me: nothing special) and she looks AMAZING! Her son, my partner, is exactly Bryan's age and he really looks thirtish...needless to say he doesn't do ANYTHING, I sometimes force him to wear a suncream when it's hot. So...if you have good genes, you don't even have to do that much. The rest of us...we can only try to age as gracefully as we can. That's why I am very sceptical about all these influencers who swear by their routines: they may just have great genes. ❤

You're absolutely right. On my mom's side of the family the women all look 20 years younger than their actual age; my mom, aunts, nan, etc. My dad's side, they age "normally". I have 2 sisters, elder and younger, and we are all in our early 40s. They both take on my dad's side and look their age. (Fortunately 😅) I take on my mom's side and I'm told all the time I look like I'm mid 20s. Genes definitely play a big factor in all of this. It's either that or you're getting some procedures or treatments done.

I do like the information that Bryan is sharing and I've adoped some of these cheap and less invasive methods (Cetaphil, power to the People cleanser, red light therapy), while being conservative of others. I don't take oral tretinoin, but use the topical and have for years and at 54, my facial and neck skin is as healthy as I can make it and I am told I coukd pass for my 30's. I am using Adapeau, but not sure if I will continue. Thank you for your channel Dr. Dray, I listen to you regularly and am a subscriber.

Just enough to make everything beautiful. I had a good day. I'm glad to be home now and ready to relax and have tea with my dear, sweet friend. What do you say to putting our feet up, having a nice, hot cup of tea and cuddling with our kitties? And a naughty treat too! I hope your evening is cozy and warm. Celluma is wonderful. I’m an aesthetician and I use their panel almost every day in my treatment. Even with only 15-30 mins of use, any inflammation on my client’s skin is greatly reduced. Skin brightened. I also used my panel to reduce bruising and inflammation immediately after a lower bleph surgery. I had almost no bruising at all. Even the nurse at my daily post care appts were surprised . Red light works. But often the main problem at home is: people are not consistent with use , and expectations are unrealistic as they really don’t understand what is possible and what is not.

If you see him prior to Blue print and two years in his skin does look significantly younger and healthier than before. Like Bryan, I'm prone to hollowibg with time, and loss of fat and collagen do make you look older even if skin itself is healthy and firm. I've had to use a conservative amount of fillers to augment the hollows that do make you look older. He lost 60 or more pounds from a couple of years ago and that does contribute to the appearance of aging.

I love Volufiline. I use it after a series of heat treatments such as rf, laser or red light. It holds it's volume for me until I do another heat series. Then I just do it again. However, it can also be used in conjunction with a warm device. Such as right after a red light treatment. The warmth actually makes it work better. I've been using it for years after these treatments. I use it until I get the desired results and then I'm good to go. I also don't use red light every single day. I do a series and then let my skin rest. I'm 52 and never had fillers. Another product I've used that I absolutely swear by for similar results is Caviplla. These have been a huge save for me after any treatments that might shrink my fat cells.

Hey! I'm a new subscriber that to happened to stumble across your content and I have been loving all the videos! Its very informative. I'm curious about your take on notion of Western vs Eastern skincare for anti-aging. When it comes to reducing fine lines, wrinkles, and age spots, do you think investing in mainstream retinol products from brands like Paula’s Choice, COSRX and Some By Mi are more effective than going for Traditional Korean Hanbang options? Specifically, I'm wondering if splurging on premium panex ginseng brands like Sulwhasoo, Donginbi and The History of Whoo justifies the higher price for better results. What's your perspective on this 🙂?
