I agree so much with this Analysis with Kobbie, after watching enough of him at the moment his calmness on the ball is so good for the CDM position, get his passing and vision developing and learn from Casemiro on the defensive side. Oof what a player we could have. With the Red card situation of Casemiro right now I've been saying let's try him in some of the easier games would be great experience before next season and the preseason really give him areas to work on.

Very impressive how early you spotted his talents. In hindsight after what's happened since this video came out: I think he's closer in profile to Marco Verratti than Casemiro. His calmness on the ball, his quick turns from the press and passing is incredible. One thing he's shown recently that I haven't seen people mention is his ability to impose himself against stronger opponents. He uses his weight so well that he beats out much stronger players when he realistically shouldn't be able to.

See ive suggested this myself that we could have the perfect long term replacement for Casemiro already in our ranks. Mainoo is one hell of a talent & can learn from Casemiro massively in that role so who knows. Could save us alot of money

@@rsahota5325 Scott isn’t even starting, he’s coming off the bench and scoring brace’s every game. That’s what Ten Hag is trying to get him to do it for United, he’s evolving his game just like all of our other players. Scott can be used as a striker but that’s more of a task for next season because at this point in the season I wouldn’t be trying to have a player learn a new position.

Ah, I've got to disagree here. He's 100% a box to box, Fred replacement, not a CDM. He's quite similar to Moriba or Ndombele. Not a deep lying playmaker. He's a great ball carrier, passer, and dribbler. Mainoo can not tackle to a dm level. In the academy, he was also playing a more advanced role while Oyedele did the defensive midfielder role.

@Tsholanang Khunou No. He said Mainoo is a ball winning midfielder, not an FDJ type midfielder, which is wrong. Ten Hag is actually trying to make Mainoo his Gravenberch/FDJ type midfielder next to the ball winner. Moussa Dembele was a world-class player and a world-class tackler, Mainoo is not a world-class tackler and has not shown this potential in his tackling. He has, however, shown potential to be a box to box and is alot closer to ndombele or moriba (barca) than a cdm like casemiro

You are 100% correct. This guy has never seen Mainoo play at youth level. He's not a CDM at all. His dribbling/playmaking is what sets him apart.

Maybe his physicality and a few more skills. But he is worth a try because as seen in the fulham game, man utd have a problem in progressing the ball and mctominay is not best suited for that. He could be worth a try if paired with sabitzer or mctominay as Maino being the deeper of the two in the pivot.

If we score 3-0 in first half versus someone TH can give him opportunity to show his "stage of development" Lets be honest,we are in deep problem after Carrick retirement. We desperately need two contract material CDM, that's 7-8-9 years, according my opinion Tchouameni was perfect last 2 years but RM get him.... That kid is strong like bull,have some amazing statistics,born for CDM, something like Makelele if you remember him,very very hard worker.

Tho I think a smart thing to do would be to sell mctominay and keep fred on a reduced salary to have a body in the midfield the upcoming season seems like a perfect occasion for Casemiro to take Kobe under his wing and help him develop like Garnacho has last season.

United academy not good at produce GK, Defensive and midfielder too...mostly attacker department stand out over the years ,same Pogba Lingard more to attacking,imo academy system for loan or talent ID just not good at,the loan system very poor and if the academy players don't go loan then at club,they do noting good for the players too,ETH need to change and improve the system there,very shambles after Ferguson I think but the like of Rashford, Greenwood, Mctominay and others just lucky and very talented too and that all depends on the manager like Moyes-Januzaj,Vgaal-rasford,JM-mctominay,ole-greenwood,rangnick-elanga,now ETH-garnacho,but for Ferguson just so many player that him integrated to 1st squad or just bcoz after he the longer stay at club but I hope ETH can bring more academy players to the squad and involve with 1st team.

Yeah but to become a top level 6 takes time because you need experience in order to read the game which young players don’t have. That’s why the best DM’s or 6’s are usually players who have started as 8’s, such as Makelele, Alonso, Carrick, Keane and Kimmich

Mainoo is good, that's fact. Hard work and dedication can made new Casemiro. Without work and investing time in development this brilliant kid will become new Pogba (public network star with pimp manners)... Example, Greenwood was brilliant potential but.....
