Didn't Phil state that he never played X3 before? If that's the case, it's awfully convenient that he name dropped some mavericks and was able to use pretty much all of the boss weaknesses. Doesn't help him though.

DSP logic: beginners traps are spikes that you can see while falling down and have enough time to move out of the way. Bad reaction time? What's that?

Sigma is NOT that difficult. The first form, once you learn his attack pattern is pathetic, and all you have to worry about in the second half is the missiles. He does have that beam but that's easy to avoid. I know it can be a challenge, Sigma is notorious for being an annoying boss, but it's not too hard.

Some other things Phil could've done was that one way to destroy some enemies is to use the Parasitic Bomb [could've really helped him during the spiked wall segment in the Second Doppler Stage] on flying enemies, while the Acid Burst would really tear through the wall-clinging foes. While a fully-charged Gravity Well can act like a smart bomb when used in the right circumstances.

I didn't think it was physically possible to take damage from Vile's first form. Good lord.

In the end, the final boss was practically X1 minus the hands that elevate you to the head. X4 was my favorite and first X game while X3 is my second favorite and second played X game in 1998. Sigma's X3 final form has a rather simple pattern as you fight him. All trackable projectiles that shoot in the location where you stand so they're easy to dodge. Missiles when behind him and Bombs and Ray when in front of Sigma. It's rough with the Buster upgrade since the Cross Shot can miss or hit the bulk and not his head so I mess around and shoot a regular buster shot.. Here is the problem when he plays games like these: Games like Mega Man and Ninja Gaiden (NES series) instills your instinct to minimize as much damage you sustain as you possibly can as you get to the stage's boss. DSP likes to "power/tank" through most of his enemies and bosses. This is his way of saying "it's easy". This is one of those "taking your health upgrades for granted". Now, that he comes across an enemy where you have to actually think, he goes into how crappy the game's *insert whatever bug mechanic here* is. It really is sad that he really doesn't adapt to the game's...you know...gameplay. Learn patterns, enemy behavior, conquer. There are some games that do have really bad controls and cameras but Mega Man is not one of those games as I've played through all originals, X (skipped Command Mission), Zero, and ZX series. I admit that I tank through bosses but usually in the final stretch when they would have like 3 bars of life left and I have at least 7 to 10 bars left.

This has got to be the dumbest strategy for killing Kaiser Sigma I have ever seen. Did he seriously manage to read from the one guide that doesn't say you're suppose to beat him with a charged buster shot? Is he really so bad that he has to hit him at point blank? I mean, I know he has a small hitbox, but that is why you git gud and learn to aim.

The final boss is not that difficult if you at least try to dodge his attacks. You clearly had a pattern that was working at the end, but you made no attempt to avoid anything. If you can at least get past the first Sigma without using a Subtank, you should be able to finish the final boss. While getting hit by him does fill the Hyper C, you don't need to use the Hyper C to finish him. Just keep hitting him with regular charge shots. As well, if you don't have enough of the S. Blade to take out the first Sigma, you could always take some time to kill the little enemies in the first part of the stage to refill the weapon energy for it.

OK, I'm gonna bring out my thoughts on this pathetic excuse for a playthrough, minus the Sigma fight (Since that's been covered already in "DSP Experiences Bugged Final Boss Mechanics"). 1. Throughout the whole video, one of the things DSP commonly does is forced laughter or laughing at his own jokes. Comedy 101: Laughing at your own jokes or forced laughter is NOT funny. 2. OK, I admit I had trouble on my first time fighting Blizzard Buffalo - but to see DerpShotPhil sucking at him makes me want to bring up the fact that the battle is easy. To paraphrase Shadsvilson11 on Game Dude getting beat by Silver during his crappy revision of his Sonic '06 review, "You can't go in, expecting to beat him by spamming your strong attack - No, you have to learn the boss' pattern, formulate a strategy and that's how you beat him." 3. Some enemies will be easier if you beat Blast Hornet before the other Mavericks by taking out a supply aircraft midway through his stage. 4. To play as Zero during the Maverick stages and the Doppler Lab, you need to pause the game, press the "R" button, and then Press "Y". If Zero loses all of his energy at any time or if you beat one of the Doppler bosses as him, he will give you his Z-Saber. 5. Yes, that backwards attack Crush Crawfish does CAN do unholy amounts of damage to the player. 6. And lastly, as always, DSP blames the game and its staff instead of himself for SUCKING at it!

I can't believe someone could be this bad at mega man or any game for that matter that Sigma fight Phil made it harder than it needed to be what in the world made him think jumping into Sigma was a sound tactic to win? It seems like at the last minute Phil forgot that in Mega Man X you can wall jump all he had to do was hop on the wall and as he is sliding down shoot Sigma's head damn he sucks bad he wouldn't last 5 mins if he played Mega Man & Bass one of the harder mega man games.

Does Phil ever do a stage who's boss isn't weak to the last weapon he acquired? It's like he can't fight with just the X Buster.

I'll be honest, if it wasn't for how obnoxious and egotistical DSP is as a person, I doubt anyone would make videos like those. I've seen many people play almost like him, some even worse for certain games, and for X3 in particular many people do just try to get upgrades and tank everything rather than bother, leading to similar moments where people just don't know what to do and blame the game. It is funny to watch DSP play so badly though, either way
